Where is Sihanouk Nationalism? In all his posts and his writing in his website, Sihanouk has promoted and has recognised Sihanoukist and not Nationalism. To Sihanouk and its clans:
During Sihanouk visit to Péking in September 1964, Siahanouk met with Vietcong leader Pham Van Dong, Lé Duc Tho, and asked Sihanouk to recognied the National Liberation Front [NFL] in Cambodia's territory.
Sihanouk had signed to accepted the following three conditions in order to insured as King of Cambodia:
1)- Sihanouk, permit North Vietnam to use khmer territory to supply and resupply the NVA/VC/NFL with weapons, munitions, and materials so as to continue the war against American in South Vietnam.
2)- Sihanouk, Authorize the North Vietnamese Armies, Vietcong, National Liberation Front[NVA/VC/NFL] to establish their bases inside Cambodia within 30km along Cambodia's border.
3)- Sihanouk, Continues to support North Vietnam and Vietcong with propagandas.

Inrespectable king
It is good to learn from both failure and sucess leader, also good to learn from their perspective. Everyone hold pieces of the truth but not the whole truth, and everyone has their own version of story to tell. I think the good way for us as young generation, we should learn from all the sources of information and have a better understanding of the whole picture. Then we could be critical on those information to find the meaning for ourselves and determin our own action as Cambodian that could bring value and respect to ourselves and our nation.
The question that I am still restling with everyday is that when we Cambodian people are becoming a responsible person? This is not reflecting about our current or past leader, but also reflecting Cambodia society as general... I hope we could be more reflexive and reflective and learn to be responsible for our action and our nation as individual and as community.

yes and of course, everybody who is old enough to remember this golden era of cambodia, however short-lived was the best cambodia ever had, at least in a long time. i remembered in sociology, it was known academically that this type of gov't of the-then S.R.N gov't of cambodia headed by the monarch, retired King Sihanouk, was actually the best type of gov't on the planet i.e. democracy monarchy like the one cambodia had, the sangkum reastr niyum (s.r.n) founded by the monarchy himself, then. however, the only problem with this type of gov't is that it only last as long as the monarchy reigns because sociology goes to say that as soon as the monarchy or the ruler (the god-king style) passed away, chaotic or usurping of power will always follow that era. in fact the s.r.n, from my understanding is very similar to the rules under the great khmer empire, the style of the god-king type of gov't (although the best type of gov't in the world), there's always chaos and infighting or the struggle of power after the god-king passed away because there is no real law to prevent this type of political chaos that seems to follow the death of the ruler. perhaps, in the future, if gov't can prevent this political chaos that ensues a ruler's death, then, perhaps, cambodia under that same style of gov't can have everlasting peace and prosperity. but that will take a lot of self-love and education and strict law and protection from gov't in order to prevent such chaos that inevitable ensue post mortem of a ruler like that in cambodia again. please study sociology to understand what i am saying here further. god bless.

Well the difference between SRN and Current Government is SRN didn't have to recover from anything. There were not much destruction to deal with and they have the a lot more asset to work with than the present government. Therefore, there is nothing to brag about.
Sihanouk has orchestrated and paint khmer faces as Khmer Sar, Khmer Khieu, khmer Kraham, khmer-vietminh, Khmer Issarak, Khmer Serei etc...
In 18th March 1970, Sihanouk Of Sangkum Reastr Niyum was Topple by General Lon Nol and Creared Khmer Republic.
In 17th April 1975, Sihanouk of GRUNK and Pol Pot of FUNK were Topple the Khmer Republic.
In 18th March 1976, Sihanouk was Topple by Pol Pot and Created DK.
In 7th January 1979 Vietcong came to Topple Khmer Kraham DK and installed Pen Sovann, Heng Samrin, Chea Sim, Hun Sen... and Created a puppet Government.
In 1993 Untac elected Ranariddh of Cambodia.
In 5-6 July 1997, Hun Sen Topple Ranariddh.
Question is, who is going to topple Hun Sen? How? and When?

His Majesty King Sihanouk was not the only man who drafted the plan against the enemies surrounded Cambodia, he and his closest countrymen did it together.
