Several houses were destroyed near the Tuol Tompoung market, even though there was no victim. Firefighters had a hard time accessing the location.

At about 7:45AM on Wednesday 18 March, a fire broke out on Street No. 438, not too far from the Tuol Tompoung market. A neighbor said that he heard two explosion noises right before flame was seen.

Seven homes were damaged by the fire. Firefighter trucks could not directly reach the location because the streets were too narrow.

According to Yuon Sophon, the Tuol Tompoung II commune chief, “the fire was under control at 9AM. Nineteen families, most of them shopkeepers, lost their homes, but no one was hurt.”

The tally indicated that 7 lots were burnt, including a warehouse stocking 29 new motorcycles belonging to a reseller.

According to Yuon Sophon, the cause of the fire would be linked to electricity or candles as Wednesday was a holyday.

Yuon Sophon called on the residents to pay attention to fire during the dry season. “However, the majority are indifferent to the recommendations made by the local authority,” he recognized with disenchantment.

Or, the fire is deliberate for development.

A shame that the firefighting trucks weren't able to adequately reach their destinations due to the fact that the streets were too narrow. Here's another reason why Phnom Penh needs to upgrade its infrastructure and spend money on urban development so that areas are more modernized in terms of following safety codes and regulations.

The Tuol Tompoung area tends to be home to a more lower to middle-class Cambodia as well as shops and markets.

Yup! Pouk Ah Hun Sen begins burning the place one by one to pave the way for his new developments in the city; consequently, he and his staff pocket millions of dollars.

The Khmer people must stop Pouk Ah Hun Sen from burning Cambodia.

That's okay, mate (3:40), they are only Pouk Ah Scam Rainxy's supporters. There is no gain to keep them, and there is no lost to burn them down to the ground. They are a permanent enemy because Ah Scam Rainxy never conceded the election and reunited the country under one government.
