The Phnom Penh municipal police administration and the immigration department of the ministry of Interior have decided to repatriate back a Norwegian man. His actions scared the neighborhood.

According to the Kampuchea Thmei newspaper, this 44-year-old Norwegian man lives in Cambodia since 2004. Expert in oil drilling, he lived with his Cambodian wife and their two children. During the evening of 23 February, he put fire on his BMW car at Chbar Ampov I commune, Meanchey district. The firefighters arrived quickly and were able to put down the fire before it spread out to the neighborhood.

In front of the police, the Norwegian man said that he was annoyed by actions taken by young hoodlums who threw rocks on the roof of his house. According to the neighbors, the man’s wife had asked for a divorce because of various problems. He did not allow his children to play with Cambodian children in the neighborhood, and because of that, he was ridiculed. According to Poeu Huot, the Chbar Ampov I commune chief, the man’s neighbors are relieved to see him being expelled from Cambodia. People were scared by his attitude.

they never heard of "divorce"? things like this can happen in any country. so, press charge by getting a divorce or something instead of continuing to suffer with the abusive person. get relative help with the little children. nobody has to live like this in an abusive relation, anywhere on the planet, not just in cambodia. hello, wake up, people!

This is a good thing that Khmer Government does for its citizen. I really appreciate this action.

The Norwegian man sounds like as if he's "not right" in the head. Come on now, setting fire to his BMW? What sane person does that? I'd be scared of this idiot as well.

You have to understood that guy. He may not support his wife anymore always asking money to feed her various relatives or maybe it is the wife who trick him to get him crazy so that she can take all his properties and belonging once divorces. Khmer women are very tricky and always interested with money, especially with foreigners. Playing with local khmer children in the street=risk to catch illness, traffic accident, youth gangs, etc.
Basically, most of foreigners who marry here marry with low educated people that they ve taken from bar, restaurant or street stalls...
unfortunately for them, real love does not exist and these women just maary with them for money and life financial securities... Once the police kick him out, you may see the wife share the benefits with the police or the court...

His name is Odd Jorpeland.
He is well known as he was using and selling drugs at the Walkabout Bar, Street 51 in Phnom Penh.

He worked on Oil Riggs in Vietnam and Russia/Sachalin which is a top secret area.

He lost his job in Vietnam because of using drugs on the Oil Rigg.

On Sachalin they still do not know that he is using drugs.

It's good that the Police deported this man.

Hopefully the Police will have an eye on the Walkabout Hotel/Bar in Phnom Penh!

In public you can see that they offer sexy dressed girls without underwear at the Open Bar. Upstairs they have short time rooms for US $4/hour.
Some of this girl are definitely under 18 Years old. They pay US $1 to the Security Guy who let them in.

Do not believe it?
Go and sit opposite the Walkabout Bar at the Near and Far Restaurant at 5 or 6pm!
Have a look when the Girls come inside and pay the Guard!

This is the worst place in Phnom Penh owned by 3 Australian Guys.

It's a shame that this place not become closed!
