According to a reliable source, Daeum Ampil news learnt on Tuesday that General Ke Kim Yan will be nominated as vice-prime minister in charge of drug trafficking [KI-Media: maybe DAP meant “in charge of anti-drug trafficking”?].
The same source indicated that the National Assembly could convene a plenary session this week (it could be on Thursday) to vote to provide its confidence in this nomination.
General Ke Kim Yan was the former RCAF chief of staff, he was sacked from his position in 22 January 2009.

this sacking of mr kimyan post is nothing more than an attempt to consolidate power in communist cpp. IT happend to prince ranaridd and ohters in cambodia. vice pms don't have a voice in cambodia...it's just a useless position created to control those hun sen sees as threats to his cpp. How many vice pms do hun sen have? most of these socalled vice pms have been fooled by curent cambodian government. In countries around the world each only has one vice pm, if any, but in cambodia anyone in cpp is a vice pm. the reason being is it's a position with no power. It a tactic used by cpp to silence those they think oppose their grip on power. By making mr kimyan a vice pm, cpp has silenced one more threat to its internal conflict. others have also fell prey to cpp recently...case in point, prince rannarid was appointed supreme advisor to the king. cpp virtually eliminates its political opponents little by little. One day cpp will collapse and crumble into pieces due to internal uprising. In the philippines, the people stood up and fought corrupt government and elected their own leader. I hope that will happen in cambodia.
