“Hun Xen is still the CPP candidate to the position of prime minister following the upcoming general elections,” Chea Xim confirmed during his speech given yesterday in front of 564 participants to the CPP central committee yearly congress.
The president of the ruling CPP party underscored the vital role of Hun Xen in the CPP’s victory. “The Cambodian population supports both our party and our candidate for the prime minister position,” Chea Xim claimed while hailing his party’s victory at last year general election as a “great pride” following 30 years in power.
Following the July 2008 general election, the CPP won an absolute majority (90 seats over a total of 123 seats at the National Assembly), i.e. 17 more seats than what it won in 2003. 58-year-old Hun Xen occupies the position of prime minister since 1985 and he would preserve his position if the CPP would win the 2013 election, and also in 2018.
Even though he is the prime minister for the past 24 years, Hun Xen never wants to relinquish his position. Quite often, he said that, as long the Cambodian voters would continue to support him, he would remain available for his duty. Now, the CPP claims that it has more 5 million party members in the entire country, 250,000 of whom have recently joined the CPP from other political parties.

Give me a break. The CPP will rule over Cambodia for the foreseable future. Their children study abroad with at least master degrees before going back home. What does SRP have besides the few college degrees and banking business people they got overseas?
Didn't Sam Rainsy's daughter go to Yale or Harvard? Where is the little chick? Is Sam Rainsy saving for himself or what? I haven't seen a bit of that girl anywhere on the internet news. Better put to good use all that years your dad spent (god knows where he got that money from) to send you to school.

To all non-primary schooling PhD - Brief Education system
Kindergarten: early child school-pre- sh
Primary School: from class 12 to class 7 (before 1975)
Secondary school: from class 6 to class 0 ( Terminal) (before 1975) Class 1 (Bacc I)
Student shall pass Bacc II (Baccalaureat II) in order to join any universities/institutes/ Faculty etc...in order to join Bacc II exam , student was obliged to hold Bacc I.
After Bacc II student is eligible to join university by exam..
Bacc II is divided into Serie Math/ Science and Lettre(Literature)/Phylo.
BaccII Math is eligible to join any faculties such as engineering and other social science.
Bacc II serie Sciences only for faculty of Sciences.
After 4 years of Faculty - licence/BSc/BA etc..
From BSc to MSc.. MBA etc..hono. MBA/MSc. are eligible to Doctorate Study/PhD classes of at least 3 years with all exams passed.
Ph D/MSc thesis is considered as Scientific papers which could be used/based for any real works/research(especially doctorate thesis).
In BSc/MSc/PhD in Sciences such as technical aspect/ engineering study students must spend up to 30% study hours in laboratories and field works.
Former Soviet Union/Russia and other Eastern country System:
6 years in University - BSc + MSc
after MSc, outstanding/qualified student/graduated student with 5 points of all subjects is eligibles to join "Aperantur" by strict selection. The 3-4 years can obtain Acperantur(Not PhD as some former Soviet union Graduate consider themselves as PhD).
After Asperantur they have to work and stdy hard to make research to obtain "Doctorate", Doctorate/PhD can continue to "Dokcent" in only educational institutions and obtaining "Doctor" to later Professor.....
So if those PhD men/women/Generals/Excellency/Oknhas have some knowledge of only education system(process of study), they will be afraid of getting it(PhD).
Hono. PhD= only awarded to high-rank/experienced leader../statesmen who mostly obtained PhD in Sciences... and work for long time to serve the nations/world with prosperity/peace and development etc...e.g Michael Sergeivich Gorbachev of Soviet Union, the former excellent student, the leader of Eastern world who could make the world to non-communist (Obtained PhD in Agro-Econoomics in 1950s from Moscow State University ( Most Prestigious University in Soviet Union and all then Eastern world)..obtain Hon. Doctorate in early 1990s only...
Finally, we conclude that in Cambodia now Excellency PhD mean Excellent Bandit; General with PhD means GENERAL BANDIT.
