An opposition lawmaker and her lawyer say they will continue a defamation suit against Prime Minister Hun Sen, following overtures by court officials to find a compromise without a hearing.
Mu Sochua, a National Assembly representative for the opposition Sam Rainsy Party, alleges that remarks made in a speech by Hun Sen last month, alluding her as a “strong-leg,” were sexually discriminating and disparaging.
Hun Sen has countersued both Mu Sochua and her lawyer, Kong Sam Onn. Mu Sochua said Thursday she would not drop her suit, despite calls from Phnom Penh Municipal Court to settle the matter.
“I would like to clearly stress that I do not need to negotiate, and I do not need to withdraw the complaint,” Mu Sochua told VOA Khmer Thursday. “I believe in my lawyer 100 percent, and he will not do wrong.”
“We have not withdrawn our complaint against Prime Minister Hun Sen, and we still continue to sue,” Kong Sam Onn said.
Hun Sen’s lawyer, Ky Tech, maintains that the premier’s “strong-leg” speech did not mention anyone by name.
Phnom Penh Municipal Court prosecutors have two months to decide on the complaints, and they have called both parties in for questioning.

Where on earth that a court has allowed the accused to countersue before he has made his defense? Regardless who he is, he needs to defense himself first until his accused claim has the hearing in his favour. He cannot countersue for any thing else except his damage such as legal fee and court cost. He must also prove evidence of his payment in legal fee such as $US 10 or US$ 20 etc.. As the salary of the judge in Cambodia was paid $US 50 per month, he cannor say he has paid his lawyer Ky Tech for US$ 1000 at all. Everything must be in reasonable. Areak Prey
What Premier HSen needs is a psychological evaluation. This is a premier who has license to kill, a dozen of PhD from Hanoi.
This is the evidence that hun sen is a coward to youns, thai, and now to even a women. For he did regard this trash talk to Ms Mu Sochua. Now he claiming, he didn't

The Cambodian's national motto states, "Nation, Religion, King". By serving the interest of the viets hun sen has betray the khmer nation and doesn't listen to the king. hun sen has to understand his role as a cambodian primenister, the khmer king's role in govt, and the role of khmer religion. This defamation law suit is bs, and it shows tht hun sen does not understand his role as a premier to the khmer nation. hun sen should not be abusing his power or he will be voted out in the coming election.

Ky Tech, your argument is so weak by saying this. Even the name was not indentified but it was so obvious that Hun Sen's word refered to Ms. Mu Sochua by saying other key words. For example, during the election, Sam Raingsy just repeated of what Global Witness wrote about the three men who were alleged of corruption, then CPP quickly released that Samraingsy was talking about its leaders. At last, Samraingsy was fined ten millions Riels.
Listen to hun sen's gasping. He blatantly stated that he would crush anyone who criticizes his viet cpp party.

Eeven HUN SEN or SAMRAINSY I respect the same any one of them try to buil up the country samthing
