If you are not convinced that Helen Javis is a communist, read the Leninist manisfesto she signed below

Presented to the DSP NC meeting by the LPF

[The following document was circulated at the DSP NC meeting May 13-14, 2006 by the LPF. Motions at the end of the document were amended by the NC and adopted as amended. For the amended wording and the votes, refer to the minutes of the NC, beginning on page 3. ]

An appeal to the DSP National Committee by DSP Leninist Party Faction members

At the start of this National Committee meeting of the Democratic Socialist Perspective the undersigned members of the Leninist Party Faction of the DSP declare that we are not leaving the LPF and that we are not disbanding our faction until its goal of getting the DSP back on track has been won.

As the statement declaring the formation of the LPF issued at the end of the DSP congress stated, our goal is “to restore the DSP as a publicly functioning Leninist party by fully rectifying the mistaken and failed party-building line adopted by the 21st DSP congress in December 2003, a course that has increasingly undermined the DSP’s ability to implement the Leninist strategy of building a revolutionary Marxist cadre party as the key to advancing the struggle for socialism.”

We also declare that we are not on a “split trajectory”, as DSP National Secretary Peter Boyle claims in his letter justifying the circulation of 130 stolen postings from the LPF discussion list. We’re staying in to defend the DSP and its program, to get it back on track, and to continue to build the party that all of us have collectively put so much time and energy into, so many resources, so much sweat and tears.

The claim is that comrades in Melbourne just “stumbled across” Linda Waldron’s open email account on an office computer – but the stolen emails continued for at least two weeks after Linda changed her password. This indicates that other comrades’ emails were also accessed. We know of at least two other attempts to gain unauthorized access to the LPF list by means of identity fraud or other means.

But the majority leadership has it both ways: we didn’t do anything wrong, they claim, we just “stumbled across” the emails, but in any case, the multiple efforts to hack into the LPF discussion list are justified because the LPF is on a “split trajectory”, or because its politics are so bad, or just because it’s a faction, and hasn’t dissolved!

We too are Marxists and believe that “the ends justifies the means”. But for the means to be justifiable, the ends must also be held to account. In time of revolution and civil war, the most extreme measures will sometimes become necessary and justified. Against the bourgeoisie and their state agencies we don’t respect their laws and their fake moral principles. But within the revolutionary party we do have principles and standards, which include comrades’ right to privacy, and the right of a faction to have internal discussions.

Your violation of our factional discussion was driven by the accusation that we are on a “split trajectory”. Not only is this utterly false, but it is the majority leadership that is, in fact, on such a split trajectory – you must have already decided that the faction was beyond the pale, should not be members of the DSP! If this was not the case, how could you possibly act in a way that could only destroy all remaining trust among DSP members! Violating our internal email list does nothing to address the fundamental political questions in dispute. In fact, it evades it.

We appeal to all members of the National Committee to draw back from this course. Respect the right of the faction to exist and our right to have private internal discussions. LPF comrades have done their utmost to let the majority line be tested out in practice. We have scrupulously refrained from reopening discussion prematurely in the DSP (though pursuing a vigorous discussion within the LPF.) LPF comrades on the whole have been exemplary in carrying out their assignments, especially in Venezuela solidarity work and civil liberties, and exemplary in fulfilling their financial obligations and selling Green Left Weekly.

Let’s continue to build the party that some of us have been jointly building together for 35 years. But adjust to something that has not been our experience often – we do have political differences, and a faction has been formed. This was the experience of the Bolsheviks, and the US SWP under Cannon, and it can be a politically useful, and educational experience, and the DSP can come out of the experience strengthened.

So to repeat – we are not leaving the LPF; we are not disbanding the LPF; and we are not leaving the DSP, and we want to propose that the NC adopt the following motions:

This National Committee meeting has to reaffirm that:

1. Factions are permissible, and a right, in the DSP (see Article 4, Paragraph 1 (i) of the DSP Constitution.)

2. The Leninist Party Faction has a right to exist, and communicate and discuss among its members in private.

3. Non-members of the LPF have no right to try to hack into the LPF’s discussion list or otherwise access internal materials of the LPF.

Helen Jarvis is not only the pious supporter of LPF, she also a close person to Sok An who overlooks Khmer Rouge court.

Sok An has used his brain to manipulate all cases in Cambodia particularly the ECC

It is most interesting that the high profile members of the Lenin's fan club work for the neo-communists who run a laissez-faire system in Cambodia.

OOOO
