The return of Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva from a one-day official trip to Cambodia was delayed Friday by problems with his plane.
The chief of police at Phnom Penh's international airport, Chay Bunna, said late Friday night that that a new plane was being sent from Thailand to pick up the prime minister and his delegation, after their 9:20 p.m. departure was delayed.
"The technicians at the airport said that his plane has a very minor technical problem, so we insisted that he delay his flight schedule," said Cambodian Foreign Ministry spokesman Koy Kuong.
Chay Bunna identified the aircraft, on which repairs were being made, as an Embraer 145. He said that Abhisit's party first waited at the airport for the aircraft to be fixed, but drove back to the city to wait further after it was decided to fly in a replacement plane.
It was not immediately known when the new flight would depart.
Abhisit met with Prime Minister Hun Sen and King Norodom Sihamoni during his visit, his first to the neighboring country since he became prime minister in December. He also held talks with Thai businessmen and visited a hospital.

Let me tell this... PM Abhisit Vejjajiva is a very good man; he is CLEAN and not corrupted as most of Hun Sen government. This thai PM Abhisit is MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER than Hun Sen and cronies and Thasin Sivatra... something.
In fact, this wonderful Thai PM Abhisit Vejjajiva is s highly educated man and a very polite one, too. I maybe a Khmer, but I respect him very much because he has done nothing wrong to Khmer nation or to harm anyone of you or us Khmer. Hats off to Abhisit Vejjajiva, sir!!!

Good man cannot be good politician. Because politicians have to know how to change tactic very fast or to cover up (lie) or to kill others that may pose threat to their policies or to do everything at all that may save their countries.
Abhisit is a new politician and he is a pro-Thai Monarchy. He shares power with the military dictator whoever it is. Thaksin is also a good man and he helps the poor while the elites: rich and powerful didn't reach out to them (poor).
It is time for some of us to be civilize . I still believe, our Khmer brothers and sisters are well educated and can be very friendly to others people, as our ancestor have done to us

I understand what you said, "good men cannot be good politicians" but strongly disagree. In every business, government and organization, there are corrupt, self-serving individuals and forces at play, either by those in power, or those that seek power. There are also those who abhor evil ways and work within the system, doing what they can to mitigate the ill effects of such carelessness, waiting and hoping for the day when good will triumph over evil. Every person who lives an engaging life must deal with politics in one way or another.
There is no avoiding political influences or struggles. But for those who can survive within the turbulent waters of a corrupt environment, yet persevere to maintain their dignity and integrity, and to truly serve the common good of all people, there is opportunity for greatness.
If all of the 'good people' have no hope of being 'good politicians', they will refrain from involvement, leaving the gardens of businesses, governments and organizations to the strangulating weeds of corruption. Good people must be good politicians at all levels, in all walks of life. This is the only way that we can collectively achieve greatness, justice and social equality.
