The Second Army Region commander Lt-General Wiboonsak Neeparn Sunday instructed troops stationing at area near the Hindu temple of Preah Vihear to get ready for an possible attack as Phnom Penh disappointed with the Thai government's objection to the temple's world heritage inscription.
The army commander General Anupong Paochinda phoned to check the situation with concern but insisted Thai troops not to open fire first, he said.
"But if the opponent open fire, we have to exercise our selfdefense right and retaliate," Wiboonsak told reporters.
However the situation on the ground is normal as both Thai and Cambodia troops are in their respective position, he said.

Many Khmers are just emotional and clueless to the root cause of Cam-Thai tension. They seemed to forget that CPP-led regime in Phnom Penh is fueling this issue in order to divert public attention from Viet encroachment and annexation of Cambodian land and maritime territories.

I didn't write the theory I wrote the facts. Vietnam just bought few fighting helicopters after she bought submarines from Russia. And the trucks President Bush donated to Cambodia now those trucks are being used to transport Viet soldiers and placed them in areas like they are ready to attack. They now are in Koh Kong too, the place PM Taksin wanted to do his empire Business there from billion dollars China gave him.
