VOV News (Hanoi)
Cambodia is seeking more cooperation with Vietnam in the field of inspections and investigations to upgrade its domestic system from central to local levels, said the Cambodian Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection Sam Kim Suor.
This will help the Cambodian government successfully carry out the second phase of its 2006-2010 strategy for economic development, Ms Kim Suor said while receiving a delegation from the Vietnamese Inspectorate General headed by Vice Inspector General Nguyen Van San.
The Cambodian minister spoke highly of the practical assistance that the Vietnamese Inspectorate General has given its Cambodian counterpart, especially in human resources training.
Both parties also briefed each other on their own country’s political and economic situation, exchanged information on the role inspectors play in helping the government to deal with complaints from citizens, and discussed measures to enhance bilateral cooperation between both countries’ inspectorates.
The Vietnamese delegation was also received by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An during their stay in Cambodia from July 25-29.

i think it today's society, it is good to foster good neighborly relations. plus, when we implement the rule of law and the use of law, etc, there is really no worry like steal lands, or invasion, or annexing by larger neighboring countries because everybody is required to respect local law and local culture, local etiquette, local custom, etc, etc... and plus, this is not like the dark ages any more. every country has their own laws to gov't everything, really. if people are illegal or disobey law etc, of course they will be punish like the anyone else. this is the way cambodia and others should be from now on. this way, countries and different race of people can cooperate and work together for the benefit of all humanity both regionally and internationally or globally. only ignorance will keep us misunderstanding and hating each other. however, when we use the law, everything hopefully will be dealt with swiftly and fairly, of course! that said, i think any diplomatic cooperation between any country is good for those countries involved. god bless cambodia.
yes, instead, people should focus their energy on fighting for human rights all around the globe, instead of dwelling on past hatred, or bygone dark history, etc... let's all start all over again because we all can be friends when we respect one another and respect the local law, etc...
it probably set a stage for unprecedented event in the history of cambodia, however, it can be gone in a good cooperative manner as well. we don't need any more obstacle in our way of developing more friendly neighboring people and countries. think about the benefit for all, ok! of course, that said, we can't seem to please everyone 100%, but the law is the law, like it or not got to respect and live by it. otherwise, we'll be killing each other forever!
Vietnamese is the most dangerous enemy!! always play soft and quiet, i think Thai is more friend than Viet, because atleast Thai/khmer got the same traditions and culturals...

Strategically, I don't see like what you see. Why? Because Cambodia's good governance is not yet in place. Many dissents are still bullied by the powerful government. This bullying shows us that our government is still very weak.
So according to this truth, Vietnam is taking advantage over Cambodia by showing the world outside of diplomatic way, but at the back Vietnam is trying to bite and swallow Cambodia.
This coorporation is not neccessary to be engaged with Vietnam. It is just the internal affair of Cambodia. This is not a simple inspectorate work, it is the spying task that Vietnam is recognized as the best secret agent play during the war!
So what elses Vietnam is going to strengthen its strategy for a complete Vietnamization in Cambodia?

Dear KY/3:16AM!
I agree w/ya 100%.....
Pretty funny, they are talking laws and Cambodia government in the same sentence. Are these people stupid enough to think that we cannot see it? What the f*ck can you learn from a country like Vietnam? It is like the blind leading the blind!
well, i think the problem is why some investors like to wait, for how long? if they want to cambodia to be like other free country, they should help and educate cooperate instead of being bitter about it and whining about it without doing something to demand changes or reforms. that's what i don't get! they all talked about democracy this democracy that, but it seems at the end they only want certain elitist in power and deprive other khmer people from getting a chance to participate in gov't and so on. i think that kind of thinking is so outdated and would not fit cambodia of today. i think anyone with ability to lead and want to take a career in political ought to be free to do so by choice. mediocre background, or former farmer or disadvantaged family or whatever shouldn't matter anymore. maybe it a elitist thing to want to see only those in power in the past to lead which don't always reflect a changing cambodia now. plus, it's so hypocritical to say so this or that with only high school education or former KR or whatever, makes so sense in this day and age! there are so much unprecedented opportunity for all in cambodia of outside of cambodia now that anyone with khmer citizenship or khmer background who finished education and who are smart and clever and wanted to lead ought to have same opportunity. get rid of that elitist shit concept. that is so undemocractic and injust to say the least! wake up, cambodia. things don't work that way anymore. everything changed already. stop dreaming of corrupt way anymore, not good for country and will cause you to have bad background and bad resume, etc... nowadays, it should be based on merit and education and doing the right thing, not about network or who know who or related to who or whatever! if we fail to realize this and reform, cambodia will never see justice and light at the end of the tunnel. then, it will be questionable! god bless cambodia.

Cambodia should learns from modern country instead, not communist country like Vietnam...?
agree, cambodia should look to affluent nations and superpower nations like the USA, china, japan and so forth for technological assistance, instead of a third world country like vietnam who can barely contain itself with its own national problem of minority human rights abuse, mediocre economy which is no better than that of cambodia's, really, and so on! cambodia should change our foreign policy outlook to court only the best in the world. vietnam is nothing, really, it just happened to be our immediate neighboring country, but again, we don't have to look to them for anything. i would prefer china, the usa, japan, korea, etc, over vietnam or thailand for that matter. get lost already!

You meant to have these foreigners to take advantage of Cambodia?
