That's a good character and honorable of Rev. Vat Vibol to repost and correct the previous article wrote by Mr. Yien Yiep.
Hope Mr. Yien Yiep from today starts to learn his own History before he writes and posts on the internet. Community leaders should STUDY Khmer History Properly, so the foreigners won't look down on us.
A Community leader like Yien Yiep should start to learn his own Khmer History before he writes somthing that relates to the Khmer History and then post it across the whole world.
Last time he wrote King Jayavaraman VII built Angkor Wat.
Everyone one across the globe enjoys visiting Angkor Wat, and for while Thais took advantage of our Preah Vihear business boomed million tourists.
Then every Khmer heard only King Jayavaraman VII no other Kings but Jayavaraman VII, and they have no idea why he is stil so famous?
Khmer Hindu two Temples: Angkor Wat and Preah Vihear are so famous, more tourists coming, but we KHmers have not yet done any thing to honor the great Kings who built these two Hindu Temples, all we are told Jayavaraman VII.
Folks, learn our history:
King Suryavaraman I and King Suryavaraman II both built Preah Vihear.
King Suryavaraman II built Angkor Wat, Prasat Beung Mealea...
In this letter "Jayavarman VII" sound to me was a Thai or republican and US citizen.
But King Jayavarman VII was a former King of Khmer and reigned the Khmer Empire.
We can't ignore the Khmer history of Cambodia.
And we cannot ignore the Khmer Empire King Suryavaraman II who really Built Preah Vihear and Angkor Wat either. If we ignored our Empire King who built those great Temples, Thais would say the Khmer Empire Kings who built Preah Vihear and Angkpr Wat was their King.
The Khmer community leaders like Yien Yiep are too ignorant individual needs to be booted from being a lousy spokeperson of the Temple.
You are rigth! it was King Suryavarman! he's the one, don't froget all temples throughout Thailand also...Thai King was too lazy ass!
You are all good men; Mr.Yien Yiep and the monks to have idea to commemorate for khmer ancestor like Jayavaraman VII and all ancestors that have never heard anyone love and raise value of our great ancestor. Please keep on your good work Mr.Yien Yiep and all monks. No one is perfect on the earth but it is priceless for you to do a great thing for the interest of our nation for your life. Youn tried to eliminate our history and khmer conscience not to raise value of Khmer.
