Do young Cambodians know that they are still ruled by the former KR?

Hun Xen, Chea Xim and Heng Xamrin were former Khmer Rouge cadres

Cambodia sets right painful history in school texts

Mon, 3 Aug 2009

ABC Radio Australia

Cambodia's government is including a 100 page text on the Khmer Rouge period in its 2009 high school curriculum.

The Documentation Centre of Cambodia says half a million copies of the text, "A History of Democratic Kampuchea" are being distributed to more than 13 hundred schools across the country.

The Centre's Director says it's hoped that students studying the Khmer Rouge past will help build a reconciled society in Cambodia.

However, Oppositon Member of the Cambodian Parliament Son Chhay says the text doesn't go far enough.

Yes, HE Son Chhay. If it went a bit further, the kids would know democrats like you have failed and let, in the words of KI Media, the former KR rule the country until now.

It's good to distribute and the record of history for young generation to learn about the KR. But one disappointed view is that "If the KR Leaders are still not telling the truth about their political ideology and execution, the history is still hiding and invaluable. The value of history is the truth for next generation to learn for their future" ...

Those aged KR leaders should tell the true about the execution of Cambodian people and their political strategies before they end... As they can't live for longer and time is too short for them now..! The fact of the KR history will be nationally and worldly respected and learned by the whole world...!

Your stupidity and ignorance.

In response to your (above) comment, here's my take on your response:
If everyone wants to get rid of our PM, what kind of a clunker from the opposition party do we want to elect to run the country, aprticularly with those who do not understand the rules of leadership? Not Khem Sokha. It's definitely not Rainsy. Oh, what that crazy woman's name--and it's a "no" "no" there. PPU? No, not me, I'm too radical for this position. Then it would definitely be Prime Minister Hun Sen.

One hundred more years!
Long live CPP!

It might be wrong with my comment.
Of course the PM, Mr. Hun Sen did a lot of mistakes or his behavior is like a dictatorship. But I think Mr. Hun Sen is a Khmer descent and tried to do the best for our country.
Remembered, the US and other civilized and developed Nations in the world are not 100 % clean.

PPU, the ones who saved us were killed and or exiled. This peasant is the ones who is survive by those whose the rescuer and turns to bite them. These poor Cambodian today are controlled by the slave of YUON.

That's right none is perfect even one but we all should try to be above average.

Don't try to be under average and attack critics. That's not a human being.

Still continues doing lots of bully things, wicked and evil.

30 years is too long, I won't be able to stay much longer to see Cambodia's prosperity but only to have seen misleading, corruption, killing and vide gap between riches and poors.

Poor are still poor and becomes poorest. Rich are still rich and becomes richer. After waking from death in the nightmare era, all these people forgot all the scene which the ancient prophecy said the gourd is sunken and the flagstone is floated. All previous noble and rich people are down with poverty, and all recent peasant people are up with bloody hand and corruption.

Hun sen was a hero in a way, but without the title and money from Hanoi or Annoy, he probably wouldn't do it. Remember, Cambodia was closed to the outside world the entire time, KR was in power. One person we have known, was the former governor of Battambang Sek San Eit who have tried to free Cambodia from this bloody monster in Thailand, but was unsucessful. Thailand would rather get along with KR or getting by with little trade than forcefully join our real man to get Cambodia out of the real nightmare. Shame is the word, but then what is to get from Cambodia? Did Sek Sam Eit fail to offer to Thai what Aphaiwong's family did to Siam (their former name )? or perhaps what Hun Sen agree to give to Vietnam? The answer is clearly " Yes". He couldn't do it. He knows too well about these two predetor neighbors. God bless his soul.

Why most of you want Hun Sent to step down? Do you think the next Prime Minister would be better than him? Who can guaranty that the new government would be better, and no more corruption law.

How come you so worship Youn? You keep saying Youn..Youn…, Hanoi….Hanoi….all the time. Do you have anything to say except these words? Why don’t you get out and do something good for Cambodians. Don’t just sit there like a coward! Nothing good comes out from cursing. Perhaps you have mentally disorder that is why you keep repeating and repeating the same words. Besides, don’t be jealous with Hun Sen.

I am glad that Hun,sen and Heng, Somrin were former K.R.
I don’t know Youn bought them or not. But in fact two of these leaders had courage to save the Cambodians from the bloody hand of Khmer Rouge regime.
Without them you and I may become the skeleton that been display at Tuol Sleng.
One of the K.R. survivors.

whatever! at least we are just an ordinary soldiers then, not the king of KR! by the way, not all KR cadets were killers. of course, many of them are killers, but not all of them were killers! stop being ignorant already! come visit cambodia and see for yourself! i think most bad KR or the killer KR most escaped from cambodia to live overseas already. but again, they all old now and probably died already due to old age and sickness, etc... and of course, a lot of them are born again christian, too, and they repented to god they sins and god forgive them all. so, in a way, they all are bless by god. so, stop being ignorant already, would you. make a difference for a change!

Anonymous said...

and most of them have changed, too. they stop believing in KR revolutionary backward, stupid, dark age mentality. now what part of change don't you understand? you do have speech impairment or brain defect or something along that line! well, only the doctor can help you. sorry, i'm not the doctor and i can't help you here! good luck!

Changing from corruptive practice, cambodians need corruption laws and we expressed that with petition as well, remember?

Prove to cambodians that corruption is on your agenda of reform?

By the way, this is about national interests and there is nothing to do with being jealous of Hun Sen.
Please learn to recognise the matters and understand them.

However, Khmer in all levels should know that they are the choir of HANOI. The TRIO have let VN chip away Kh border and sent Khmer to be trial in VN and never cared about KhmerKrom's fate. Most visible trades that KR did with Thailand were cars, small trucks and motorcycles that they took from Cambodian people on April 17th of 1975. People who lived along the national road leading to O'Chrou, could see miles of those vehicle and trucks etc...went out to Thailand. Now how dumb can it be? Those vehicles and small trucks could be easily distribute to villages and towns. So that Cambodian can people at least use them to transport good or family as a whole, but those things did not mean anything. KR didn't want them to be visible in Cambodia. So they just sold them to Thailand. A Mercedes Benz or other expensive type of vehicles from Japan that Cambodian used to own were probably sold at the a rock rock buttom price. Poor Cambodian people had to walk miles to where they had to work or carry good on their backs or heads instead. A lot of times, if they were lucky, they got thrown into a wagon of a tractor. There you're chicken! they said " Chicken do look really hot in a wagon of a tractor ". Great great humiliation by KR. You dare to speak up at that time, you're dead. Beside you were too tired and too sick to say anything. It didn't make any different any way. Just look at those former doctors and nurses. Did they care? The people that can save their very own life one day when they get sicked, didn't mean anything or they were just plan dumb to figure it out. Those brilliant people were as good as anybody else. To them an 11 or 12 years can do a better job treating sick people. My father was a former med student. He lived because one of the head KR got TB. He was telling the sick man to get this and that medecines from a higher up places. He even volunteered to accompany the sick man to get what he needed and adviced him on how to take care of himself with those medecines. The very sick KR got better and my father got to live. When January 7th of 1979 came,we left the village and never saw that sick man again. God do save good people and may God bless good Cambodian people!

In memory of my beloved Cambodia,
