The hidden motive why japan has never abandoned Cambodia (except in the Khmer Rouge regime) is that Cambodia is one of vital veins of Japan in providing Japan with some natural materials. Since Hun Sen has been in stolen power for these 30 years, Japan has sucked in a lot of Cambodia raw materials.
