Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva had ordered leaders of police and the military in Si Sa Ket province to hold talks with core leaders of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) to prevent violence.

His order was made after the premier received a report on violent clash between PAD’s security guards and local villagers in Phumisarol village who blocked PAD supporters from passing through to Preah Vihear national park.

The PAD leaders could be allowed to go to Pha Mor I-Daeng to read out their protest statement in order to end the anti-cambia demonstration in the border province” Mr Abhisit said on Saturday afternoon.

Maj Gen Chamlong Srimuang, another core leader of PAD, suggested Mr Abhisit to send his representative to hold talk only with Veera Somkwamkid, a PAD key member who led the rally.

Suriyasai Katasila, PAD coordinator, called on the premier to hold talks with Mr Veera to prevent unrest. He insisted that PAD’s five core leaders had nothing to with the rally in Si Sa Ket.

This seemed ridiculous all forces are not armed and if this occured very bad our forces will get injured without protected gears. Hun Sen would say uh oh I told you be very careful. 4,000 siam versus 1,000 forces + 500 villagers. This is unacceptable remembered US had pouring in $58M for road contruction nothing had been happened. At least they should bought some gears for our forces such as protected bortons, helmets and bullet proofs vest. Where is all the money? All for CPP members.
