Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva Saturday called on fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to review his role and give priority to the national interest.
Abhisit said the on-going conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia stemmed from Thaksin himself.
Abhisit was responding to Thaksin's allegations that the Democrat Party-led government was using internal political problems to harass a neighbouring country.
But Abhisit said the problem occurred because the Cambodian government issued a statement to insult the Thai judicial system.
"The problem did not stem from the Thai government but Cambodia issued a statement that affected Thai judicial system," Abhisit said.
"Thaksin should review his role and consider what he is doing. Does he give priority to the national interest and care about the good ties between Thailand and the neighbouring country? If so, he should review his role and should know what to do."

I have worked in Cambodia a long time. Khmer people have always suffered under the leadership in Cambodia. It looks like it will continue to suffer.
As I have noticed, the Khmer people HAVE NOT survived very well. Survived, yes, but survived well, of course not. The infrastructure is in shambles, basic electricity is not consistent, no police force at night, and Hun Sen is married to a woman who should be investigated for an acid attack on her husband's alleged mistress.
How can Hun Sen possibly ever do anything more than be given credit for barely keeping Cambodia together? He can't even talk to his lesbian daughter or prevent he wife from having womens lives destroyed. It is no coincidence that aid groups typically refuse to support his wife's version of the Red Cross.
In short, closing boarders will hurt the poor of Cambodia, and it is a shame that it might happen over Thaksin being out of touch, as is Hun Sen and his wife.
Abhisit is really Fuck ever...This he just like a chicken no head...if the read shirt start to rock Bangkok again is going to be fun to see.

It's true that Cambodia do not have economic experts, that's why Samdech Hun Sen imports foreign know-how like Lee Myung Bak and now Thaksin. The Thais are ingrateful bastards who owe so much to Cambodia for the past 800 years. They are imperialists who can not exert control beyond their borders...Instead of fostering fraternal friendship between our two peoples (Khmer-Thai) which share so much in common, they choose the wrong path to self-destruction and humiliation. In the eyes of the world, they are indeed a crazy disturbed people...
