Vietnam, Cambodia boost legislative cooperation11/04/2009

The National Assemblies of Vietnam and Cambodia should foster their ties to help promote the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries, said Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam National Assembly Tong Thi Phong.
Ms Phong made the statement at a reception in Hanoi on November 4 for visiting Deputy PM Men Sam An, who is also President of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association (CVFA).
The Vietnam National Assembly will do its utmost to strengthen relations with its Cambodian counterpart, said Ms Phong.
She welcomed the results of visit exchanges and cooperation between Vietnamese and Cambodian friendship organizations in recent times and hoped that both sides will continue to support each other at multilateral forums.
For her part, Men Sam An noted that Cambodia and Vietnam have treasured long standing relationship and the two nations have stood shoulder to shoulder to overcome numerous difficulties.
She thanked the Vietnamese people for providing their heart-felt support and assistance to Cambodia to drive away the Khmer Rouge and reconstruct the nation.
She also noted with satisfaction progress in the exchange of visits and cooperation between the two legislative bodies, contributing the development of bilateral ties.
The same day, the Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Nguyen Van Pha, received the Cambodia guest.

i just don't understand....why cambodian people still support...yuon puppet....what it mean...that cambodian people support hun and support yuon to take over not just land but everything...how sad...to see...where all the soldier go...soldier should be the one that love and defend our land without fear of sacraficing their live for "cheat".....

That is the biggest bull I have ever heard. Don't forget to thank them for looting Phnom Penh too. I'm so sick and tired of hearing that the Shitnamese were the heroes. They are the villians.
Pol pot had that unit of khmer rouge executed for going around killing people. I can't remember what that unit was called. Not sure if all of them were executed.
Not all khmer rouge soldiers were bad. They were not aware of it. When the khmer people saw anyone in black clothing, they would chase and cut them down with axes because of a misunderstanding. Pot pot goal was to reclaim the lands lost to Vietnam, but failed because the other khmer rouge jr leaders rebelled.
I'm pretty sure there were a lot of other khmer people who also knew what really happen. Most people just read a newspaper or book about it and believes what is written. There are a lot of hidden truths and facts that still needs to be discover. Like Hun Sen for one, He had a different name before. When his niece from Canada went to visit him, she couldn't find him because his name was changed. Actually it was pretty common for people to change theirs name back then maybe for conveniences.
I don't agree with some of the things Pot Pot did. He had the right intention but went about it the wrong way.

The killing was done mostly on the southeast zone of KR in that time. That area was control by Heng Samrin, Chea Sim and Hun Sen.
So Phim was in charge in that area and when he doesn't want to rebel against Pol Pot he got killed by YOUN.

Men Sam An is a pawn that the viets use to manipulate situations in cambodia. in a grand scheme of things, she's serving the interest of the fucking ho chi viet. If anyone looks closely, this woman is sent to represent the cpp. the viets must be arrested and prosecuted for encroaching into khmer land.
Although SR has done a brave thing, he should have prepared himself in advance. The problems with VN have been there for years. SR should be able to produce a kind of map used by VN and current government, and another one recognized by the Paris Peace Accord. STILL TIME TO DO IT.
CPP could only help if the way SR does is based on well-informed knowledge. The court will always ask for VERIFIABLE evident.
