Vietnam is willing to assist Cambodia’s telecoms sector as part of the two countries’ cooperation agreement for the 2009-2010 period.
The Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Information and Telecoms, Do Quy Doan, made the statement during his talks with Cambodian Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith in Phnom Penh within the framework of his working visit to Cambodia from November 7-9.
During the talks, the Cambodian Minister asked Vietnam to support Cambodia in building a 5-KW FM radio station in Siem Reap province, which would provide the Vietnamese community in the province with better access to information.
Mr Doan pledged to report this issue to the Vietnamese Government so that it can be discussed at a session of the Inter-governmental Committee scheduled to be held on December 3-4 in Sihanoukville city, Cambodia.
During his stay, Mr Doan visited the National Television and the National Radio of Cambodia. Mr Doan said the Vinasat-1, with its coverage over the Southeast Asia, can meet all needs of Cambodia’s telecoms industry, ranging from television to Internet services.
Mr Doan also had a working session with the Metfone Company, a subsidiary of Vietnam’s Viettel military-run telecoms company.

I have an easy question: How many people in the CPP leadership are Khmers? A few or NONE? They might be fluent in Khmer but they all think like Yuon. They put a stupid guy Var Kim Hong in charge of border committee, when people in Svay Rieng complained about border posts put in their rice fields he said: "I don't know what these people are talking about. They are still farming in those portions of fields, nothing changed." Why is he so stupid? What will happen when the line will be drawn between those posts? What will happen to the poor farmers' fields?

No need to build Viet radio station because we already had,just change from khmer language to youn language that is the easy way.

Some other Khmers still don't see and understand the Youn government lead by CPP. These CPP memebers are working for Youn. Ah Hun Zen won't allow Khmer to have radio or TV stations, but allow his Youn whore have the license to operate radio, TV, School in Cambodia. Ah Khmer pleu leaders are always stupid. When you have an uneducated person or persons lead the country, that's what you get.
Ah Youn pressure and prohibit Khmer Kampuchea Krom from living freely and steal their land, but Ah Khmer leaders help Ah Youn to rob his own people.
