THE freedom of citizens to report corruption is crucial if Cambodia is to tackle its graft problem, advocates said Wednesday during a celebration of International Anticorruption Day, adding that draft anticorruption legislation that comes before the Council of Ministers on Friday should be immediately approved as a sign of the government’s will to combat the problem. Cambodia is perceived as one of the world’s most graft-plagued countries, according to the German group Transparency International, which this year ranked the Kingdom 158 out of 180 nations polled. “It is better than last year, but it is not enough. The government should approve the draft anticorruption law as soon as possible,” said Chea Vannath, an independent analyst. Corruption is a daily issue, said Mom Sitha, executive director of the Cambodia Independent Anti-Corruption Committee. “Even our children know corruption,” Mom Sitha said. However, Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Council of Ministers, brushed aside references to corruption, accusing some NGOs of also being corrupt.

Forgive me for my mental defective fool....
I think therefore I undoubtedly believe the corruption law will never be officially passed in Srok Khmer, 'cause SenVarman and his highly elites' blood-sucking parasites heavenly live and stay in power this long period of time by systematic corruption.
If ye have acknowledgeably knew during SihanoukVarman's regime, he did eventually and publicly pass the corruption law. Unfortunately and evidently speaking, who were the corruptors? SihanoukVarman's high rank offficials, in-laws, and including his beloved wife!
SihanoukVarman had madly gone insane, "ye can't arrest them! Ye publicly fired!"
Talking about corruption in cambodia. Even you blind, you can smell the corruption in the air when you step in cambodia land. You don't have to see or know about it.If you don't know there is a corruption exit in cambodia, you have to be ah kwack's gov.
The royal government must complete the anti-corruption law by a law on transparency and control of funding of political parties and Cambodian NGOs working in Cambodia to prevent organized crime, mafia and foreign countries to take control these political parties and NGOs and which forced its to betray the national interests of Kampuchea.
The mixture without control between money and politics is often very bad for national interests.
Lon Nol was sold in 1970 Cambodia to Americans. Then it is the misfortune of all the Khmer people
Wether the corruption law passes or not, ah kwak government still corrupt and abuse. Khmer people need to take the law in their own hands. They need to start a new war against corrupted government officials. If not, ah kwak government along with the support from ah kanhchas xihanouk, china and vietcong, don't care. Many stupid cambodian lawyers don't even know what the law is, all they know is corrupt and stay close to a kwak, no one can do anything. Just kill them or do something to put them in the wheelchair, that is the law that should be practiced in cambodia today.
