As the dawn of a New Year and a New Decade is quickly catching up on us, our team would like to take this opportunity to thank all our respected Readers for your continued interest in news and information from Cambodia, irrespective of your political affiliation and inclination. As you probably noticed already, in spite of the large spread of the Cambodian diaspora all over the world, and even with limit Internet access in Cambodia, the Cambodian community worldwide is vibrant in our expression of opinion, and we are no longer a sheepishly silent community.
We, at KI-Media, feel extremely rewarded and blessed that Cambodians and our foreign friends from all over the world pay close attention to the situation in our beloved Cambodia. We sincerely thank you for the time you spent reading the news, providing your suggestions and posting your comments. As the saying goes: “Knowledge is Power”, we hope that KI-Media contributes somewhat to your empowerment process. Please remember that the comments you posted are not in vain, we learnt, to our great surprise, that government officials in Cambodia as well as other parties involved do read regularly your comments.
We also would like to thank all those who contribute articles for posting on KI-Media. We apologize for not naming all of you here, as the list would be very long. I am with you. Yes KI please stop serving Hanoi's interest but our Khmers and our Cambodia only. Stop dividng us Khmers, please KI, stop this division.
There are many of us Khmers love Hun Sen, many of us Khmers love the King, and many of us love Sam Rainsy, so you KI must stop dividng us, but find new ways to unite us to one by not attacking us Khmers in every side.
Help our poor students in our country, Cambodia to get the scholarships they deserve instead of Yuon fake Khmers stole their scholarships.

With rich in history, culture and natural resource as well as the strategic position in the region Cambodia is deserved to be strong and rich but unfortunately we are falling to the poverty in every aspect.
Cambodia is falling to the very dangerous status in terms of sovereignty, natural resource and cultural values and economic.
-Sovereignty: Vietnamization in territory and population (more Vietnamese infiltration illegaly or accompany with their company and surely they are the second biggest community in Cambodia after Khmer)
-Natural resource: more mining and timber project granted to Vietnamse (most recently 6 billion USD project granted to Vietnamses)
-As you could see the article posting in all Cambodia local newspaper regarding criminal case: buddhist monks fighting each others in pagoda, father rape child. Children kill parent, kid rape kid, acid attack widerspread, (this story we can see every day in Cambodia life).
-For economics aspect: this is the country for sell through 99 years contract (some people said why not 100 years?, it is only 1 years diffence). They sold the public land by evacuation the poor to the outskir, attracking the invester by grant so much concession exspecially the project related to natural resource. More dangerous is that they borrow billion of dollars from foreign country.
I don't know this is the Vietnamese strategy or because of Cambodia leadr blindness?

It is Hanoi's strategy. Even Khmer leaders in Cambodia knew all about it, they cannot do anything. There are only two main superpowers, US and China, small nations should flip and follow either one of them as fast as it could to survive.
Did you read Vietnam building a very powerful defense? Submarines and military Helicopters are ones but may be nuclear to face China. One Viet leader speaks of possible of big war in 2029.

Just hope this KI gets the real message. KI can play a role of a unification, but if KI "lacks of courage" to do so, then no one should blame any body. The Fall of Khmer Empire was no difference than the Fall of current Cambodia.
Because of the lack of the Unity and furthermore leaders like Raisny alone cannot help to save Cambodia.
KI is one of the source for some Khmers and foreigners to read, but if KI is too radical and too far to the right, and some other Khmers are too far to the left, this little piece that left over from the empire will be finished.
Ps; What many readers like myself hate the most is that KI always add its own nasty words on the top of the original subjects. If any reader requests that KI should leave it alone, KI then becoming even so barbaric attacking readers through anonymous. No compromise with it, so the fight keeps going on, and all of Khmers are losers.
KI hates challengers, but KI can to others. Hoppefuly KI changes this old evil attitute for better and for the interest to all Khmers of sides.

You should humbly appeal to your powerful God to curse and condemn Hun Sen for allowing Yuons to steal Khmer land and worse yet he attacks all patriots who fight against Yuons. May King Devil of new year bring to hell all those who have hurt and harmed the innocent Khmer People.

I think you are knowledgeable enough to see through the game having been played by the smart Yuon or Siem leaders. Of course our leaders including King Sihanouk are greedy and more dumb that our neighboring leaders. THEY will do whatever for the interests of their nation and people while our LEADERS will do whatever for their personal interests, leaving aside the interests of their nation and people. And worse yet our leaders, especially the present one and his cronies are even so evil, immoral, and greedy as to rob, hurt, and harm Khmer poeple mercilessly.
Actually, the new decade starts in 2011; it doesn't start in 2010.

In 2010 I hope to see voices of unity amongst all political parties in Cambodia. There have been so much violence, division, hatred, power greedy, political killings, but there has been so little progress towards democracy. I am tired of the political division; we must unit and work together to reconcile our differences so that Cambodia will a great nation again.
