Hun Xen called on Cambodian students in Thailand to return home

PM: Change in Thai Engineer's Lawyer Won't Be an Issue

4 December 2009
Thai ASEAN News Network

The Prime Minister has said that if the mother of the Thai engineer accused of committing espionage in Cambodia wants to change her son's attorney, she is able to do so.

The Foreign Minister has also pledged to continue giving the government's full assistance.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has said that if the mother of the Thai engineer detained in Cambodia wants to change her son's attorney, she is able to do so and also claimed that the government will continue to offer full assistance to the case.

Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya has pointed out that it is up to the family of the Thai engineer if they want to change the attorney.

Kasit has also claimed the change in attorney will not be a problem or a political issue to the government.

Meanwhile, the government will continue to offer support to the case with bail money, attorney's fees, traveling costs for Sivarak's mother, and Sivarak's medical fees.

Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia recently called for all Cambodian students studying in Thailand to return. Kasit has commented that the call is Hun Sen's personal opinion, and Thailand will not protest such remark in trying to maintain a relationship with Cambodia.

The Foreign Minister has also said that whatever brings happiness to Thai and Cambodian people, the Thai government is willing to oblige.

When asked about the political pressure that wants to expel him from the Cabinet, Kasit refused to make a comment but said that he is working 24 hours a day.

Thailand has no objection for students to continue studying there. Why Hun Sen goes down that level? He should have separated students issue from his personal political feeling.

What a moron and idiot he is!

I think vietname is pushing Hun Sen to prepare for war. War is money for the big people. Especially in this tough time.

it is not accurate, actually the PM called for the cancellation of one group of students who got scholarship to study in Thailand and provide them a scholarship to study in Cambodia instead. and it is not effected other scholarship students.

When Hun Sen has personal dispute with Thai leaders, it does not mean all Cambodian and Thai people has the same problem. Hun Sen don't be confused that when Thai leaders don't like you, it dose not mean they don't like Cambodian people. Hun Sen was born to hate every one except his Vietnamese boss.

Hun Sen bitch, Hun Sen said "I have conflict with thailland but between me and him not related to khmer people"why now Hen Sen calls all the students come home?

I don't totally support that idea.
How would those students feel?
They are working hard to get the scholarship to study abroad. Why does he wants them to come back and study in cambodia without asking about their feeling?
If he does so, he should pay them to study in other country instead such as Malaysia, Singapore etc.
As I know, some scholarships are not sponsored by the thai government, but from other NGO.

If he does so, why didn't he call his son back from West Point when he was so upset with USA?

That's not fair at all.

This idiot is involving the Cambodian and Thai people into his webs of personal affair. This moron is not fit to lead the Cambodian people. He spits out more garbage then the US consumer. It's never for the interest of the country; only for his own. Having said that, the innocent will pay for the ultimate sacrifce in the near future.

It sounds like he sick and tired of the thai attitude toward Cambodian people. He is absolutey not wanting to deal with those Thais. These will cause Thais that use to do business and profit from Cambodians not happy with the current Thai government.
Or Hun xen knows something might happen in the near future. May be war is unavoidable. In either way, no Thais nor Cambodians gains anything from the cold war. It only leads to isolation between the two countries. The people are the victims.

I agree that all Cambodian students need to return home! Beside all these Cambodian student in Thailand will never be able to focus on their study anyway because of AH ABISHIT illegal government promoted the hatred, racial prejudice, and looking down on Cambodia at the highest level!

Thailand is a place of hatred for all Cambodian people! There is no place like home! Just come home knowing that you still have a country to call home!

Cambodia as a country shall never die!

Yes, go to get PhD from master Vietnam instead and that way all the students can speak Vietnamese fluently, and thereafter when they get jobs with Hun Sen government they don't need translators.
