The assistant to the foreign affairs minister is asking the public not to conclude that a recently leaked classified document was distributed by insiders.
He threatened legal action if the controversial report is translated into English.
The assistant to the Foreign Affairs Minister, Phanit Wikitse, has asked the public not to jump to conclusions about the classified document that it was leaked by the government insiders as claimed by fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
He stressed that the investigation by the ministry is underway and he called on the public to wait for the results.
Furthermore, Phanit stressed that caution should be taken regarding the document, as the contents are clearly confidential.
He added that legal action will be taken if the translation of the controversial document is publicized.
He insisted that it is seriously inappropriate to gain political advantage by broadcasting any government classified document.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan said he has not seen the controversial document yet, but he is confident the issue will not lead to a war between Thailand and Cambodia.
Further, he commented that it is not necessary to find a mediator to negotiate with the former prime minister.
The defence minister explained that Thailand does not implement war-oriented policies with neighbouring countries.
As for the government's one-year performance, he insisted that the Abhisit-led administration is on the right track and has done its best in running the country.
He said it is not necessary to adjust the strategies in the government's work for the time being.

Well, domestically, the performance of the Abhisit government may partially success in curbing the UDD and their protest in order to drop down against his administration that took for a year, but internationally, Abhisith administration has been and on-going completely failed to pass on the Joint Border Committee's reports regarding the border issue and demarcation with Cambodia, particularly around Preah Vihear Temple. Why Abhisit didn't bring it to the parliment house? And why Abhisit still keeping Siamese troops along the borders without any parliament endorsement? Why Adbhishit didn't think it is illegal by sending troops to invade Cambodia so?
It is absolutely showing the illegitimate action of Abhishit government and failure of dealing with the foreign country and the respect of Cambodia's sovereignty and other international laws and conventions...!
