UN-Backed Court Charges 2 Ex-Khmer Rouge Leaders With Genocide

DECEMBER 16, 2009

PHNOM PENH (AFP)--Cambodia's U.N.-backed warcrimes court has for the first time issued genocide charges against two leaders of the brutal Khmer Rouge regime, a tribunal spokesman said Wednesday.

Former Khmer Rouge number two Nuon Chea and foreign minister Ieng Sary were both charged over the hardline communist regime's slaughter of Vietnamese people and ethnic Cham Muslims during the 1970s, spokesman Lars Olsen said.

"This week both Nuon Chea and Ieng Sary have been brought before the investigating judges and informed they are being charged with genocide against the Cham Muslims and the Vietnamese," Olsen said.

"This is the first time that anyone has been charged with genocide" at the U.N.-backed tribunal, he added.

These assassins and yuon sympathizers should go to school again to learn what's genocide mean and the cause of genocide in Cambodia? Who are victims? Who are assassins?

This yuon court is too much over victimized of yuons. The few yuons or Khmer painted yuons killed by a political purge within their party doesn't make them victims of genocide? Genocide of who? It was yuon vietcong who are the architects of the genocide against Khmer people. It is vietcongs who benefit from this genocide against Khmer people.

And you know why Khmer rouge want to extinct cham people in Cambodia? This question should be direct to yuons who trained hated and killing to Khmer rouge to kill exterminate Cham people and Khmer people from the surface of the world. Don’t yuons over protect itself and its crimes by exterminate all victims fearing that the victims alive will stand up against yuons atrocities.

Assassins killed and continue to kill and clean their crimes because they are strong and have all power to do and as long as victims have nothing to do than to ask some justice and pities from these horrific assassins.

Why do not make those things easy to understand.
Pol Pot, Nuon Chea, Ieng Sary, Kiev Samphan worked for Vietnameses.
But do not forget also that, some khmers was very happy to kill Khmers in that time.

I hope that, in the futur, when Khmers are asked to kill Khmers, they think more than twice before doing that. At least Khmers victims are not died for nothing.

In the spirit of all Khmer holocaust victims, I applause the UN for taking second step. And there should more steps to come. No victims should be forgotten especially under bad government.

It is easy to blame others when things go wrong. Why blame Vietnamese? It was Khmer who are stupid enough for Youn to use. Let look at what Hun Sen is doing today. Not to blame Youn. It is Hun Sen who let Youn does everything in Cambodia. I did not see Youn killed in Pol Pot time only Khmer killed Khmer. Of course Youn was behind the killing. But I do not blame Youn. I blame Khmer who want power and kill Khmer each other like his enemy.

It is just like now. Some of you may hate Hun Sen like your shit. Assume you have power, you might kill Hun Sen and all his supporters by accussing them they are Youn. This is the reason behind Khmer Rough. They killed any Khmer who were against. When you are against them, they said you are Youn.

At the end of the day, all khmer will disappear in this world. Do not history repeat. Hope you understand

This first step is an insult to Khmer people. Genocide against the Cham and the Vietnamese? How about millions of Khmers who were killed by the regime?
