Price of petrol is fluctuated as gold during the days of the week, in almost every countries, unless the government would think of subsidy, so the motorists would be benefits.

I agreed with you My Community Networking, it's a global situation and there's nothing Cambodia can down. If the situation get worst, I think the govt should do something to help the poor, such as providing subsidy to the poor (motortaxi drivers or small vendors), rather than subsidized the whole market, which will benefit the rich more.

Why can't we make those drive luxury vehicles pay more and those poor motortaxi drivers pay less? this is something the govt can do, I believe.

with all due respect, rich or poor we all face the same quoted oil price worldwide. even if the govt could make the rich pay more (some how) the poor will find a way to arbitrage by on-selling their (rationned ?) petrol to the rich.. every which way but corruption!

In cambodia things are diffirent from the West, people who drive luxurious SUV/Sedan will pay less or nothing (using State Gasoline).
Taxi and moto Doop will pay more because The government need taxes from Gassoline to subsidize people who driving expensive SUV/Sedan.

This is Cambodian business and economic class 101.
