On 16 January, three MPs from the Human Rights Party wrote a letter to the Thai prime minister to express their hurtful feelings on the frequent shooting and killing of Cambodian citizens by Thai soldiers when these Cambodians illegally cross the border into Thailand. The HRP MPs explained to the Thai PM that, due to their poverty, a number of Cambodians are forced to cross the border illegally to work or to log trees in Thailand. In spite of their mistake, these Cambodian workers do not deserve to be shot at and killed. The HRP wrote: “According to International human rights law and the integrity maintained by our neighboring countries, it is never heard that any democratic country would shoot and kill citizens from another country just for illegally crossing the border.” The HRP MPs asked the Thai PM and Thai army leaders to use their national and international law rather than resorting to use weapons.”

The stupid UN should condemn Thailand and Thais Gov'ts to stop their soldier from shooting an unarmed poor people who just looking for works....Thailand had done cruelty thing to Khmer people since 1979, they even force Khmer people to walk on land mine field and they threaten to shoot if they turn around...! I don't belong to any political party but I do pay some attention.
SRP seems to always in a hot pot with the ruling party. That's because they brave to oppose Hun Xen. They stand for people interest. They have help and try to help countless victims.
HRP on the other hand have not done much. This is somewhat the first time they said something. But when really think about it. They seems to be the CPP puppets. I mean, their leader Kem Sokha have countless corrupted history and his broter is with CPP. In addition, Kem Sokha, HRP never do or say anything much to oppose Hun Sen, the ruling party. THEY NEVER DARE OPEN THEIR MOUTH ABOUT THE VIET BORDER ISSUES. THEY NEVER ONCE SAID IT WAS WRONG THE WAY THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO LIFT THE PARALIAMENTARY IMMUNITY FROM THE OPPOSITION PARTY. Instead I over heard they go around in the urban area talking trash about SRP. My question is should they put effort trying to get supporters from CPP? They didn't because they are Hun Sen's puppet. HRP is a puppet of a puppet.

I have not met Kem Sokha in person, but I plan to meet him at one of his gathering when circumstance allows. As for Mr. Rainsy, I had met him in private, and that all I have to say.
If you care about the country, you should open your heart and welcome all opposition be it SRP or HRP, otherwise, you're not different from those whom you criticize.

That shows the intention of Thai government to not solving seriously. Talk is one thing and do it is another. So far Thai government has not done much other than just talking.
This is exactly what the opposition parties should be doing and stop focusing on criticizing the Government. If they focus on these type of issues for everyday people. HRP or SRP would have a better chance of winning a lot of votes.
But I stress to you Mr. Kem Sohka and I will meet you here in the valley soon that you need to focus on helping the people and not trying too much to try to win seats or even Prime Minister. At least try to improve the daily life of our Khmer Citizens would be a bigger impact than just trying to shoot for the stars.

The UN never said a damn thing regarding the senseless killing of Cambodian people along the Siem-Cambodian border! But the damn UN come in full force and slam the Cambodian government for deporting the Uighur back to China. The UN stand for United Nations but this time Cambodia is not treated as part of United Nations!

I thought it is Hun Sen government's job to send a protest to the Thai government. What is his government doing for Khmer people? Just sit down, do nothing, and wait to receive paycheck only while Cambodian people's live are at stake?
