Sacrava I needed more cartoons like that for my album.

The Vietnamese violated the International Laws, United Nations Resolution Paris Peace Agreements in 1991, Cambodian National Security, Secrecy and Privacy acts, the Khmer Laws of the 1900’s, the French Bonne Map of 1954 by encroaching and moving the border markers. The Cambodia-Vietnam border demarcation started in 2005 to be completed by 2008 but the Vietnamese has changed to 2012. The United Nations must inspect every new border markers according to the French Bonne map of 1954 accurately and precisely with today technology. All the border markers the Vietnamese has been installed are not official without the United Nations, ASEAN, and International Community supervision, inspection and protect by the United Nations peacekeepers. Xen ignored every thing about the Vietnamese expansion in Cambodia.

It is a good drawing but no heart for Cambodian leader, no constructive brain for Cambodia. Idea of Dr. painter "Siem is right, invade Cambodia is perfect" WHO ARE YOU? In your brain Cambodia so darkness better leave to broad ... I guess the painter is French citizen better out of Cambodia.

Dear Mr. Sacrava,

Your cartoon is funny, but it's inappropriate and insulting, especially publicly available on public domain which all our foreign enemies can access. If you don't support CPP or Hun Sen, at least show some respect to a leader/PM who was elected by the majority of the Khmer people living in Cambodia.

Sam Rainsy or Kem Sokha are nothing better. Fled the country when problems come and let his followers suffered. I wonder why you never draw cartoon of the two.

I had a few chances bringing foreign delegation meeting Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha. All they told the foreign delegations were blah blah blah attacking the government, corruption and suppression of freedom of speech. They never discuss about plan to develop Cambodia or how could these countries can help Cambodian poor. But they rather promoted hatred and find ways to discredit the government.

Please be assured that I'm not a CPP member/supporter. I'm also not a govt official, but I works for Int'l organization and this is what I've observed about the politicians in Cambodia.

Regards

Hahha. Man Sacrava, you are at the top of your game again. Well done masterpiece again. I don't get it though. So why is Hun Sen being squeezed between the buttcheeks of the yellow Vietnam? Why is Hun Sen sweating? Can someone tell me the real meaning of Sacrava's cartoon?

Mr 10.47AM,

I can understand why critics of the CPP government always used "Anonymous" when they comment. They fear for their safety and also for the safety of any relatives inside Cambodia. But you, Mr 10.47AM, are a CPP supporter, why don't you use your real name? I think that you don't use your real name because deep down inside you know that you are giving support to the wrong people, and you do not want to be found out later. So if you believe the government to be right in what they do- and if you do, then you are definitely safe in Cambodia- then why not be proud and let the whole world know who you are? Your safety is not in danger like the safety of the CPP critics.

Also, the job of any opposition party is to criticise the wrongs of the government. That's why they are called Opposition. And what are the most dangerous, most rotten things in Cambodia at the moment? Human Rights and corruption. Without these 2 things the country will certainly improve. There is enough aid and support given to Cambodia now. It is the management of the aid and support that causes the problem. And the cause of the bad management, in turn, are corruption and human rights abuses. So please wake up. Everyone wants to help the Cambodian government. But the government must want that help. AT the moment the CPP government wants help from abroad, but does not want to learn better ways of doing things. "Just give us the money and go away, because we cannot take your criticism."

So please don't act innocent with your "I am not a CPP supporter". You are! Otherwise you would not be saying the things you say about the oppositions who want to improve Cambodia.

Hun Sen is just a shit crumb of Vietnam. heheheheh. Look at the drawing carefully. Hun Sen's origin is a lowly farm boy and his savagery is that of the Khmer Rouge Commander. Vietnam granted him his toilette paper Ph.D. Hehehe. Now he wants to fight Thailand while being squeeze in the butthole of Vietnam. Hehehhe. Hun Sen you are the most wanted one-eyed gangster who kills no Viet nor Thai, except your very own Cambodian people. That is a typical Cambodian trait anyway. F*ck all the Cambodians harder so that they learn to be slaves and obey the YOUNs' orders and threats just like you do. Over 30 years later, Cambodia is still a piece of shit and a stinky ghetto place known in Southeast Asia. Hehehe. Vietnam still uses Hun Sh*t to wipe their butts and sins just like old time always. Hehehe.

To 10:47 AM
I too have been involved with the interngational organizations. I too have been back to Cambodia for more than 30 times. I too have been involved with Cambodian and American politics. I too have run for offices in Cambodia and in America. I have observed that sihanouk has changed power from the communitst Pol Pot to communist cpp. The style of ruling is the same. Only the ways of killing of cambodian is different. Please understand sihanouk is the founder of khmer rouge. sihanouk always support yuon, when pol pot tried to fight against yuon sihanouk back out and against them, but now that the new khmer rouge came in (with the support from sihanouk and china)sihanouk is on their side. No matter how bad or how much crimes they commit, sihanouk always praises them.

The opposition has no rights. How can the opposition develop anything when the new khmer rouge pointing guns and sticks at them. I think the opposition wants to find the peaceful way to defeat the dictator before they can do anything. I believe they have plans, goals and objectives but they never have a chance to implement them. So please think again before you decide to support cpp. Hun Sen is not a leader. He is a communist, traitor, murderer, power abuser who can only talk shit and treaten to poor cambodians. Believe me, hun sen will never fight again siam because he does not want his family and himself to lose wealth and property. when war starts hun sen will lose all his stolen property and money.

Best

10:47 AM,

I strongly disagreed with your point to say that Mr. Hun Sen should be respected. If he should, then why letting millions of illegal Vietnamese living in Cambodia and why he doesn't oppose to the Vietnam govt of border encroachment? Instead he followed the order from Vietnam govt to summon Mr. Sam Rainsy and then the owners of the rice paddies and put them in jail, very injustice. Beside why he interfering with justice system? His past victory of election were voted by mostly illegal Vietnamese in Cambodia, cheating khmers people. These are just to name a few.

Dear 11:14AM,

I know who I am. I'm a Khmer citizen living in Cambodia with a conscious brain. I don't want to use my real identity just avoid hard feeling between all of us, because I might be next to you and/or one of your friends. So I prefer to use this as an anonymous forum/discussion.

I did not personally witness what happened before 1979 because I was not born then, but I've read many history books and knew what happened and can judge what/who is right or wrong. I personally witnessed all the events in Cambodia since 1993 to present, so I also know who did right and wrong. I knew that happened to Chou Sambath, Hor Sok and other FUN supporters. I also knew what happened to Phun Pheak, Piseth Pilika, and Heng Pov. But it's all politics and it's the same everywhere, even in the US and Europe. No leaders in this world that never commit any wrongdoings. But we must look whether those leaders knew they did the wrong things and tried to correct it for the sake of their people. This is exactly what I saw Hun Sen is doing at the moment. Why can't we forget the past and look to the future. There's still so much suffering and desperate of our people in rural areas. So I would rather prefer Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha criticize the government in a constructive ways, not just blah blah blah...

Let's be realistic, what can Sam Rainsy or Kem Sokha do if they're elected PM when much of the power (armed forces) is still controlled by CPP. Or do you want to see Cambodia falling civil unrest/civil war again. We, Khmer, have fought enough and it's now the time to unite and develop the country.

Let's be honest that I never see Sam Rainsy or Kem Sokha publicly condemn Thai for killing innocent Khmer.

Even if SRP or HRM are not in power, but there's many ways they can help develop Cambodia such as attracting int's donor (NGOs) to help rural poor by providing clean water access, schools, and micro loan for small businesses. Why don't they do that instead of going blah blah blah to get public/international attention. If Sam Rainsy is a brave opposition Leader whey didn't he come back to Cambodia and face the court and willing to stay in jail like what Nelson Mandela did.

Let's not forget that this is not the first time Sam Rainsy fled the country and confronted Hun Sen from overseas. He did it in the past but later made friend with Hun Sen and upon return he was given motorcade escort like a CPP senior official.

I do not agree that Cambodia has 30 years to develop after the war. Actually Cambodia only had fully peace since 1998 when all factions (including FUN) are re-integrated. Despite some drawbacks in the development such as corruption and human rights violations, but overall Cambodia is moving forward as long as we can maintain peace and stability.

Can anyone name a country in this world that does not have human rights violations and corruption.

The Chinese and Vietnamese infiltration/invasion is a matter of concern for all Cambodians, and that is something we, as citizen, must remind our leader to pay attention at. If the opposition leaders are truly good, they must look at all fronts and all issues.

Do you think that foreign aid is generous? please re-make your mind. All foreign aid serves a purpose either it's directly or indirectly benefit that country or its allies. IMF and WB always want to act as bossy, but their lessons cannot be applied in every countries. Of course, we need foreign aid, but we accept it in the right direction rather than taking everything then our next generation have to repay it.

I hope this will help clear some confusion of other commentators.

Thanks.

Dear 4:11PM

Pls be polite with your comment. Pls counter my argument with a response/proof rather than behaving like a gangster. Didn't you said earlier that everyone has the right to freedom of expression. You have the right to agree or disagree with my comment/opinion but you don't have the right to insult me because of what I believe/said.

Now I used my nickname for this and future comments on KI Media, so you and others will know my stance.

Pls see my latest comment on IRI Survey result and respond if you have any words to say. But pls pls pls don't use KI Media as a ground for "swearing".

Regards,
CK

3:45 PM,
Your lengthy comment is just your opinion in favor of Hun Sen and his party and who knows as you could be on Hun Sen's payroll and survive on Hun Sen's money to feed yourself. We, average Khmer, don't see it that way. You mentioned that the killings that took place in Cambodia, all critics of government who have been jailed in Cambodia could happen anywhere in the world is just simply not true. In Cambodia, crime committed by people affiliate to CPP never be found. In democratic countries people are free to criticize the government and its leaders while in Cambodia you have to shut up. How much did Hun paid you to say positive about him?

Anonymous said...

Ck and Others:

CK has a point, he made an argument of why his rational is that way. And you have to respect his opinion as KI blog intends to deliver diversed sources of ideas/opinions.

I too don't like Hun Xen and wish him dead sooner than later. It will be better for all if he's gone. What the three stooges had done for Khmers has been a destruction to the country and their own people, we may lose a country to the viets because of them.

However opposition is in itself an opposition. they say things that benefit them and their clique, not looking at the big picture.

I admit that I am complaining on both sides, and offer no solution to the problem, but we must be civilized to deal with our problem and work together to find solutions.

And I am supposed to take your words for it? Damn, you freaking CPP's supporter/Yuon's slave...

Aren't you the same so-called Khmer-patriotic Ph.d from Hanoi that has been sabotageing KI-Media all these times? As far as I am concerned you have never left...one has known/seen your true color already!

If you want still to be Yuon/Viet's slave...go on ahead, but do not drag any innocent Khmer/Cambodian with you...please!

this cartoon above is so outdated. i guess that's why it is a cartoon because in real life, it's not true like this cartoonist is illustrating, really! cambodia is WAY better and better as we move progressively forward in development, education, etc... now, it is the cartoonist's freedom of expression, however, whether khmer people will buy it is another story altogether, really! good try!

Anonymous said...

i think it is ignorant to believe what people see in cartoon. cartoons aren't real, you know!

Anonymous said...

why bad politicians like to use cartoon to illustrate their outdated thinking? go figure!

Just look at the way he treats Vietnam and its people in Cambodia. All the people that he jailed are Cambodians. Did Hun Sen dares to jail vietnamese in Cambodia? Has Hun Sen government ever evicted Vietnamese in Cambodia from their land? Has Hun Sen ever denied that he don't work for Vietnam? This cartoon characterized Hun Sen relationship with Vietnam in true life. Action speaks louder than words.
