SAM RAINSY ADDRESSED THE CAMBODIAN PEOPLE

THROUGH LIVE CALL-IN SHOW
On 31 December 2009, SRP President Sam Rainsy, who is currently in France, took part in a radio call-in show broadcast live in Cambodia from 06:00 pm to 07:00 pm Phnom Penh time.
The call-in show was part of the one-hour-daily Candle Light radio program run by the opposition SRP which buys air time from a private radio station broadcasting from Phnom Penh on FM 93.5 MHz.
During the program and responding to many questions, Sam Rainsy elaborated on the political situation in Cambodia, the current tension with Thailand, the border issue with Vietnam, the worsening government-sponsored land grab affecting an increasing number of Cambodian farmers and, following the issuance of an arrest warrant against him, his decision to return to Cambodia as soon as the government frees detained protesting farmers from prison and gives them back their land.

I love to listen to Candle Light radio program. Please run more live call show. You can use this program to quick response to unfounded accusation by CPP such as border issues.

I listen to the radio last night and so happy to hear SR in France working with other to help Khmers. He handles the show very well especially answering two viet brain callers from PP. The calleres attacked SR personally but forgot their Derachan bosses jailed Nationalist Khmer farmers to please their master.

This is unrelated subject.
Mr. Som Borin is used to be member of RFA administration staff has formed online radio station called Khmer World News. He is touring Canada in this present time to meet Khmer communities across the country. Can anyone explain what his mission is ? and what he has been up to?. Is it worth awhile to go and listen to him?. Thank for your info. in advance.
So now has he reached "victim" of the government status yet? I mean he intentionally commits a crime- which in any country would end up charging him for i.e. vandalism, destruction of property etc., and then he fleas the country in order to avoid arrest (another crime in most countries). But we all know the real purpose is to cast himself as a victim of the government for political and fund raising purposes. Unfortunately, because of his other agenda, he was not present to take issue with recent important laws passed by the National Assembly regarding evictions- a more noteworthy undertaking in my view. First, be a real leader in the National Assembly and save the theatrics for those who don't have the same responsibility you do to the people as an elective representative.
Mr. Som Borin got fired from RFA because he worked for CPP.
Khmer World News (like 12:48am said)is his new way to work for CPP.
This time, he receives more fund from Hun Xen (CPP).
Som Borin is a member of CPP.

Although Mr. Rainsy not participating the National Assembly regarding to your concern; but others SRP's MP are there. If you listen to the meeting SRP was opposing this law. But the government passed them anyway because they have more seats, to passed it. Therefore, it doesn't matter if Mr. Rainsy there are not they already made up their mind. Just like the court ruling on his charge, issued the arrest warrant.
CPP controle the National Assembly, Court and everything else in the country. As the opposition party, all they can do is oppose their ruling and try to defend Khmer victims as best as they can. People need to understand SRP is not the ruling party. But without SRP our poeple and nation could suffer much much worst.
For those who critics SRP, Mr. Rainsy are just a critics. Most take no action in helping our people and nation but wonder, watch then criticising....

2:32AM, True! Critics are unavoidable. The more you do the more critics you'll get. Most people say should do this and that, they can do better, etc...But it's all just saying.
Who and what party has and have been trying to help Cambodia more then SRP? Therefore SRP are always in the hot boiling water against the ruling party.
Most people look and sounds like they are angel because he do or done nothing to critics about.
To keep in mind, the more SRP got trouble means the more things they done opposing the tyrant government. This is very good for our people and nation that this opposition party is not afraid to stand up for its people and defending its nation. But not good for SRP who always in trouble for helping our people.
Also the hardest part for them is the lack of support in return. Imagine you trying to help someone but that someone don't really appriciates your help. This is how I feels about Cambodian population right now.
Some people believe and joint different party. Yes, it is their rights but think about it. By the time they building their new party strenght as stron as SRP today there would be no Cambodia left to denfending. THINK ABOUT PEOPLE!
Mr. Rainsy is a true Cambodian Patriot fighting for the rights of all Khmer. For those people who keep demanding that he return back and face the courts in Cambodia, you don't seem to grasp the reality of the situation, they will lock him up and he will not be able to help the plight of our people. Mr. Rainsy will be able to help our country by staying out of the Kangaroo court system.

Hun Sen and the other two stooges, plus all of CPP party are a bunch of self serving individuals. They have sold our people and our country. Like Mr. Rainsy said, it's difficult to take care of the things in your house, when you have people in your home who are letting the robbers come in.
We need to utilize the 1991 Paris Peace Agreement to resolve all related border issues with Vietnam and Thailand.
Some of RFA staffs were once busted for collecting pay check from US and took cash paid from CPP. Google and you will find more info.

One thing that oppoistion party must know to do political affairs in Cambodia, you must face jail, persecution, intimadation, and killing. No matter how peaceful you are, you must dare to face all of these from Hun Sen who is the most cruel prime minister in the world.
If you dare not face these challenges, shut up and stay home and fuck your wife. We need a strong leader who dare challenge Hun Sen for social justice. If Sam Ransy is jailed, he will be more popular and might win the next election like MR. Nelson Mendela, former presidend of South Africa.
Did any of you catch that caller called "Samnang"? Lol. That man was so angry that Mr. Sam Rainsy did not show up in the Hun Sen Kangaroo Court. However, Mr. Sam Rainsy kept his cool and broke down the games of politics and confrontations for that loser to understand. Sometimes I wonder why Mr. Sam Rainsy still wants to get involed with the Cambodian people at all when he is already a successful individual and has endured so much suffering. This only goes to show that Mr. Sam Rainsy simply loves Cambodia and Cambodians way too much. Do you know that Mr. Sam Rainsy is 60 years old? He is even older than that one-eyed dude. Lol.
KHmer rouge survivor and victims suffered so much, and some still living from the effect of it.
Khmer cannot forget, and let their khmer rouge still running the country.
