Today, Mr. Sam Rainsy issued his reaction in response to the arrest warrant against him in the lawsuit case charging him of uprooting stakes along the Vietnamese-Cambodian border. Sam Rainsy indicated that he agrees to surrender himself if the authority agrees to release Cambodian farmers who are currently being jailed first.

I don't agree for him to surrender in exchange for the land because the flip flop govt can agree now to release the villagers and land but when he is in their possession, the govt will eradicate all those land back and arrest the villagers again. he should use this chance now to get khmer krom back along with all the lost land; that is more a profitable exchange to let the international world recognize it legally.
I agree with 5:01 AM. Sam Rainsy accepts to be another Son Kouy, a historic Kampuchea Krom hero. In the early 1800s, Son Kouy who was a Khmer governor for Preah Trapeang (now Tra Vinh) province was betrayed during an insurrection against the Vietnamese authorities. The Vietnamese demanded his head in exchange for letting the Khmer Krom people keep their cultural and religious (Buddhist) traditions. Son Kouy agreed and was beheaded.
Now, Sam Rainsy accepts to be jailed (and finally killed I am sure) by the pro-Vietnamese Hun Sen government in exchange for letting Khmer farmers in current Cambodia keep their land.
Sad stories.
Don't ever trust the likes of Hun Sen. Even Pol Pot didn't trust Hun Sen.

You are the most paramount traitor to the Cambodian people and its proud heritage. The Cambodian people's vengeance will be served and you, most treasonous one, will be at the epicenter of one million piercing blades coming at you. Don't live so comfortably.

Sam Rainsy is a big Bull Shit of all. Would any Cambodians believe that he will go back to Cambodian jail the way he said it? He will end up in sending a letter of apology to Ah Khwak Hun Sen in order for him to return to Cambodia. He must stop "Prachea Phithos", the ways Sihanouk and Hun Sen did to Cambodian people.

your radical view of Mr. Sam Rainsy will never happen in a million years. Comparing Sam Rainsy to Son Kuy is like comparing orange to apple. Both are khmer heroes in their own right but they live in a different era and they don't play political games on the same levelled playing field.
This is Khmer politic under Viet. His first offer to try at Vietnam was turned down because they know that SR will drag them to international court. His second offer was again turned down. I heard in radio that one court official in PP saying that SR is a state rep should understand the law -meaning he cannot use this offer as bargain to help khmer farmers. But my question to that puppet court official is Does he know Cambodian court uses double standard law? Take a case of a Thai spy as an example..also is this Cambodian law to jail farmers who protect their righful ownership land?
