Suthep won't welcome Hun Sen

The Si Sa Ket governor and the commander of Army Region 2 (Northeast) will greet Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen when he makes a planned visit to the disputed border area near Preah Vihear temple this weekend, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said on Friday morning.

“Hun Sen has the right to visit the area but he cannot claim rights over it,” Mr Suthep said, adding that he would not be present to welcome the Cambodian leader.

He had no confirmation of media reports that fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is economic adviser to the Cambodian government, would join in the trip.

Mr Suthep said he hoped Veera Somkwamkid, a key leader of the People’s Alliance for Democracy, would drop his plan to lead PAD members in a protest against Hun Sen during the visit.

“Mr Veera should refrain from causing more problems as it is the responsibility of the government to settle border disputes with our neighbour,” he said.

The government would continue to ensure the safety of people living along the Thai-Cambodia border.

Noppadon Pattama, a lawyer for the Shinawatra family, said Thaksin would not accompany Hun Sen.

I guess Thaksin will be with Hun Sen at the border and there will be clashing between the RED and the YELLOW's shirts. This must be a well coordinated plan in which Hun Sen wants to put Thaksin back in power through the assisting from Cambodia.

AH Suthep is speaking from his ass again!

The Siem leaders want to claim Khmer land by drawing their own map? ahahhahha Cambodian sovereignty is non-negotiable.

Hun Sen is walking on Khmer land regardless what the Siem leaders want to say. If Siem thugs want to be in the way of Hun Sen visit just let the bullets and the rockets speak to them!

Cambodian leaders have every right to walk anywhere on Khmer land!

We will not allow any Thais type of Suthep come to our land. We will not well come him, he and his team are robber. They robbed the power from other party. Thus, talking or shake hand with them will lose our credit

Hun Sen is to visit the troops and Cambodian temples and lands NOT Thailand. So Suthep does not need to jump up and down like a temple monkey of not waiting to greed the man. Hun Sen could not careless.

Whereas Suthep, a few months he was begging Hun Sen to allow him to come and see the man in private if not at the official level. Out of sympathy and consideration, Hun Sen did allow him to come over. Hun Sen's wife even cooked a special Khmer dish for the monkey and his entourage. That's Cambodian hospitality, no matter what. After all Cambodians are more civilized than Thais in almost every way. However, Cambodians need to be much more firmer with Thais within context and Cambodians are very capable of that.

If the Thai government tells its people to stop using Khmer numerals and words in their language, they will be in trouble and become mute...may resort to sign language! 55555 ;-)
