Davan Long: No PR for Khmerlive.tv, but recongise Raymond Kin's great contributions

Dear All,

I have mistakenly confused Raymond with his brother in my original letter (as shown below). It was never my intention to do PR for anyone or any political party, but to wholeheartedly appreciate and recognize our fellow compatriots who volunteer their times and efforts for the noble cause of the nation, and I’m sure there are many of them.

It was an honest mistake but also quite an embarrassment for me, and I sincerely apologize to everyone for any inconvenience and/or confusion this may have caused.

The letter has been modified and re-posted on KI site. May thanks to KI and Khmerization for the understanding and support.

Kind regards,
Davan Long

Camarade Long!

It is too late. Next time if you don't have any thing good to say don't say any thing.
Start to do any thing to help your nation not just bla bla for Hun Sen.
You are such a jerk.

Well, let put the whole issue on Raymond Kin to rest.

It has enough coverage. Let us move on!

You guys fight about nothing. It's a waste of time doing that.

Enjoy life as the way it is. Whoever does good deeds for the general public at large should be rewarded with praise instead of tearing them apart by judging their affiliation, creed, etc.

Who does not enjoy these free services abroad for the Khmer community living sporadically and around the world?

If you answer "No", don't even bother coming on to these sites in the first place. These sites give you information but also have forum of discussions.

Basically, just ignore useless comments and just read the information provided, not the modified title by KI media nor the highlighted material. Just read the content of paper by credited sources if you really want to know what is happening on the other side of the fence.

It's disgusting how all this is boiling down to SRP or CPP affiliation nonsense. Wake up!

More importantly, don't waste all your time with all of this material. It's gonna tear you apart the more gleam over little details.

May I ask any of you can help me to understand the motive of the conflict? why and what was happenning?????

Another thing, I'd like to add about Khmer issues.

It's digusting how Khmer overseas are broken into groups of many party affiliations.

One look of it is that think about it: first of all we're already living overseas without any firm foundation of progression in life, besides promoting cultural identity awareness in multicultural countries.

Once, you're in multural countries, everything gets diluted and sterilzed into minute scale of existence and importance.

So by being broken into supporting various parties, you are subject to fighting for power and prestige in no man's land where you seem to lose what is important in life: to live happily either for your family and humanity.

Also these online media should be the tools for the public to seek important information without being subject discrimination, propaganda, nor influence.

Without this, then we are subject ourselves to self-deterioration and loss of sight of the outside world where advancement in technology and science breakthroughs are daily occurences.

So, the bottom line is that, we should not align ourselves towards any party while living overseas as this practice in the long would not serve anybody at best.

Each party to survive should should run its own finance in its own territory Cambodia, not overseas as families here are under lots of constrain already from daily life.

By surviving on its own account, then we would know the real effect of its actions and activities from the inner forces, which is inside Cambodia.

Think about it: how long have these oppositions have run its own operation on the existence of Khmer overseas?

They keep trodding here and there with no aim in sight, only in projecting their proposed good intention but in reality, the sense of achieving a milestone anywhere is less likely.

By running on its own finance, then you could actually gain more influence and real motivation from all walks of life in Cambodia, whether they are government officicals, government workers, private employees, business vendors, farmers, peasants, all the educated alike to strongly align with any party that is actually perceived the one to lead Cambodia into the 21st century with all advancement in the world at hand to improve millions of lives.

So if any opposition keeps coming abroad to seek support, any chance to win the total support from Cambodians inside would be so low that they think these parties have no clear aim in the platform and its sustainability.

And all the Khmer overseas fighting in collaborating with any party in Cambodia would not actually supporting the real cause back home, back to fuel further chaos and uncertainty about where they would actually like to see what progression is made, whether human rights, the rule of law, or the betterment of economic performance in general.

This is what smart politics is all about if you really want to master it at best, not just some clumsy trekking all over the place in circle.

9:08 PM is hoping to be a CPP guard dog, bark, pratice bro and good luck, that is completely the contrary of what you did before.

I hope all the independent, credential newspapers like the Phnom Penh Post, Le Cambodge Soir, The Cambodia Daily, etc in Cambodia will start operating breaking news program, expand their operations more globally, so that we all could boycott all these junkish, biased newspapers running from Cambodia and abroad like KI media, Deum Ampil, Khmemarization, and all other rubbish sources.

By having their bias, they only project those views supporting their operations, and ignoring the rest.

This is not effective at all in propelling the country into post-modernism era.

10:29 AM,

you are right. but don't forget, many overseas khmers have not been involved in the political quabbles like it is being magnified in message boards or blogs.

9:41PM,

KI Media is a very good forum open to all internet users to voice their opinions. You can say that KI Media has tendency toward the opposition. You are quite right about that but; it is not a tendency toward the opposition party commonly known as SRP. KI Media opposes the very bad pratices of the RGC who always works for the benefit of the CPP thru its rotten to the bones corruption and also for the benefit of VN, not for the nation as a whole. Most of us who are living in the free world tend to see things the same way as KI Media does because the only affiliation that we have is our conscience and the love of our motherland.

Have a nice day!

I am totally agree with that, khmer abroad should not divide into group. We shoult remain in the same group.

May god bless all

Bravo Raymond!
You have spent a lot of your energy, your time and your money to create a website that concerns all Cambodians. You're a genius and the first great creator of Live Broadcast. I know that you have other interesting projects that help Cambodia in your high tech. The whole world will open their eyes to you once your project unveiled.
Do not get discouraged with the critics, it is very normal.
Please do not stop the broadcast of TVK because this is my only source of free TV Khmer. Compared with our neighboring countries such as Thai, Vietnamese, Lao, they have many free channels available.

Don’t trust this Davan Long. He defended Raymond Kin on April 24th, 2010 and then ridiculed him on April 25th. Now Davan Long is confused Raymond Kin with his brother on April 26th. This Davan Long just want an attention.

9:41 PM,Khmerization and KI Media took their articles from Phnom Penh Post and Deum Ampil, RFA, RAFI, Cambodge Soir and all the sources you are talking about. Deum Ampil is a pro-CPP. However, most of the articles are taken out of international media outlets. These articles are written by international journalists. It is only editorials and private opinions of contributors in KI and Khmerization that are critical of the ruling CPP. The rest are pretty balanced. But, the most important thing is they are open, unmoderated forums where all readers can express their opinions freely with censoring or editing from KI and Khmerization editors. If you read articles from all the CPP-affiliated newspapers, they are almost 100% biased. TVK is the worst.
