Unjust attacks on Raymond Kin from Khmerlive.tv

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Dear KI,

In reference to the subject article posted at your site on Friday, April 23rd, 2010, I am disappointed to read all the negative comments and unjust accusations toward Raymond Kin. It is very troubling to see that rumours and speculations, no matter how improbable they are, have become an acceptable basis of our judgements, and in many circumstances, they carry more weights than the actual facts do in the matter of our public opinion.

For the benefits of those who don’t know Raymond Kin, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Kin came to and got married in Canada during the 1970’s. Evidently, Raymond was born, raised and educated in Montreal, Canada. He recently graduated with a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.

Despite having lived his entire life in Canada, Raymond Kin takes keen interests in promoting our Khmer heritage and culture. The online KhmerLive TV is his prime achievement and commitment to keep Khmers around the globe connected with each others.

At present, it is rare to see a young and successful professional Cambodian abroad committing this level of efforts and interests to Cambodia affairs. It is our duty and responsibility to encourage our younger generation, like Raymond Kin, everywhere at home and abroad, to get involved in our national affairs. They are our strength and our only hope to carry the torch for our nation to the future.

Yours truly,

Davan Long,

Dear KI-Media and Khmerization,

Right after seeing Bang Davan Long's letter in my email as I was cc, I replied to you not to publish the letter right away, as there are so many confusion and wrong information about my background and career information.

For the respect of the truth and myself, I ask you to delete this post and ask Bang Davan to rewrite it with the correct information.

Best Regards,
Raymond Kin

TVK is a mouth piece of the CPP. Therefore, whether or not Khmerlive.tv supports the CPP, the latter definetly enjoys its political gains.

I like to watch movies on Khmerlive. tv. This doesn't mean that I like the news program specifically when that Hun Sen guy gives a speech during his inauguration.

I personally like the music section from khmerlive.tv website. Me can watch Karaoke non-stops and different music when make work without need choosing from youtube.

I personally don't see a big deal about Raymond's Khmerlive.TV. As we already know, this live-feed is intended for Khmers living overseas and to be viewed only with a broadband connection. If you're living outside of Cambodia and you are educated enough to use internet, and you don't know the difference between CPP propagandas and normal Khmer culture programmings, then it's your fault. Why bother to bug Raymond for his free service to all oversea Khmers? Don't you know that many of us pay for CTN and TVK using satellite disk or cable system? We always watch programs that are purely Khmer. We know it's a CPP propaganda when we see one. Raymond's site does us, who don't pay for CTN/TVK, a very big favor: we can see what's going on inside Cambodia. Regardless the fact that Raymond is a CPP supporter or not, I still say " a job well done, Raymond!", and thank you very much for your service!

Have a nice day!

TVK is not independent because its100% CPP supporter and it will only show anything that will help CPP that's why you dont see any program that will show the picture of the people who got kicked out of their houses by the government, the police beat up the peaceful protesters and alot more.

How did Raymond Kin's parents came to live in Canada in 1970? A very rare case for a khmer family.

Anonymous said...

9:49,
I agree..............hmmmmmmm!
Very rear case that we should ask him personally.
Raymond, can you fill us in on that?

Put your judgement aside, unite and listen my people. Listen to each other. You cannot move the country forward with either or but a compromise.

If we can't even see face to face on a free service and individual contribution such as Kin's website, how can we ever, Khmer, be able to construct a better future for our nation.

Do you want us to be like Red and Yellow shirt of Thailand?

Learn to separate politics from individuals, contributions from gains, and patience over jumping to conclusion.

Clearly, Mr. Raymond is a patriot. He offers his service to all Khmer programs. That he offers a service and contribution as Mr. Long said, is itself an achievement and proud moment enough for our Khmer people. We should not throw accusations

Love and unity,
Khmer US

To better understand each other and to promote the country, the CPP should has a web forum that can be accessed by all around the globe. Will the CPP willing to do that? Put your guns aside and we will debate for the best of our country.

Hay Reymon - if you are clean and have a true good intention toward Khmer people and their land...you have nothing to afraid off. Once does not have to defend the truth!

In addition...this is to Mr.
Jim Vikmean from Indra Devi:~))

I am no trangender...I chose Indra Devi to identify myself because I am Khmer woman who love her motherland very much and does not want to see people kissing assssssssss to CPP and claim to helping the over 80% of khmer people that are living in the country. They even lack the basic clean wather to drink...comprendo Mr Jim...If you claim yourself of not kissing ass to Reymon (because his father reprentative of CPP in Canada - you must be kidding yourself). Mr. Raymon have no interest in Cambodia? Than why his father represent the CPP in Canada? why his father represent the CPP for the Khmer Canadian...

By the way, Mr. Jim..Have you gone to Cambodian? How many Cambodian people have you been help? Have you been to the country side? Mr. Jim, you have to understand Mr. Rayman beyond what he shows...see it beyon your pointed nose.......Just want to let you know...the way that HS conduct the country with a lot of cronny...just look at the Thai political situation right now...this is where Cambodia will be heading...if the rich is getting richer and the poor 80% of people that live in the country side could not event have enough clean wather to drink!...people will be rise up against the elits....so Khmer elits, if you love your country and want to die in your motherland...better help take care the rest of the 80% of Cambodian in the country side.

So Mr. Jim, Indra devi sign off...by the way don't just assume that only Khmer men interest in politic and the well being of the the country. You are insulting Khmer women. In addition, when you assume, you make the "ass" out of "u" and "me"

Davan Long, there is a huge difference between a bachelor degree and a medical degree in dentistry. Is this a PR self-promotion for Raymond Kin and KhmerTV?

If it is, it's BRILLIANT.

5:08PM,

Can you read English or not? Are you color blind too? Read the letter posted on KI again, dude.

Did you read comment by Raymond? I'm not Davan Long, but I think you should send him an email to brag about yourself. He may write a commendation letter for you.

When you say that CPP members are corrupted, you don't participate to build the country.
When you say that CPP members lie, you are jalous, you do nothing for your country.
When you criticize CPP government, you are extremist, you make trouble.
Every Khmer men should marriage Yuon girl and say CHEYO CPP, ADIOS Khmer ??

Anonymous said...

5:32pm, maybe you didn't follow the whole conversation. Davan Long vouched for Raymond and claimed with certainty that Raymond received a medical doctor degree in dentistry with his own private practice. Then Raymond issued a correction to Davan Long's claim.

My point is: there is a huge difference in degrees-- medical doctor vs. BS in computer engineering. These are Canadian degrees and not Cambodian degrees.

10:29 am strongly agree with your comment and well written too.

Instead of finger pointing, blaming, bashing each other, Khmer should work together to solve problems. Compromise people compromise! Especially right now, Khmer should work together regardless of various political backgrounds, Khmer should show Siem, (Khmer is strong and always support each other). Khmer had been through hell so many times, now it's time to sit back and watch every moves what's going on in Thailand.

Dear KI readers,

I have mistakenly confused Raymond with his brother in my original letter. It was never my intention to do PR for anyone or any political party, but to wholeheartedly appreciate and recognize our fellow compatriotes who volunteer their times and efforts for the noble cause of the nation, and I’m sure there are many of them.

It was an honest mistake but also quite an embarrassement for me, and I apologize to everyone for any inconvenience and/or confusion.

Kind regards,

Davan Long

Mr Davan Long,

It's too late; next time If you don't have any thing good to say don't say any thing.
Start doing any thing to help Cambodia instead of bla bla for Hun Sen all the time.

After 1975, while Pol Pot regime and after Yuons invasion, Khmers came out of our country under REFUGEE status.
Before 1975, most of rich Cambodians sent their children to western countries to study and they didn't came back.
Also before 1975, western countries universities gave grant to elite Cambodian students to continue their studies and they didn't come back.
