The Cambodian New Year is an august occasion for Cambodians who usually celebrate and welcome this event every year. Nevertheless, along with the merriment of the occasion, a number of Cambodians never forget the Cambodian New Year which took place 35 years ago. Mrs. Phoeung Sunthary, a victim of the KR regime and a plaintiff who is searching the truth for the death of her father at the Tuol Sleng (S-21) jail, still cannot forgive the KR leaders.

i think reconciliation is good at the society level, however, the leadership that was responsible for the atrocity under the stupid KR should be brought to justice. the general public should reconcile, but not the leadership of the KR regime, though! leaders are set to be accountable for their irresponsibility, and in cambodia, they are highly expected to be responsible and more. so, we have to distinguish between the ordinary citizen reconciliation and the punishment and brought to justice of the perpetrators and their leadership. there's a difference with what people here are talking about. please know the difference.
Before they be fofiven, do they accept of their wrong doing?
Or we just fool playing around with the victime and let the crime go as nationalism or righth thing to do for the moment?
What happen in Cambodia right now is the same thing that lead to the killingfield! " If I don't please ah Kwack Hun Xen I would get shit! Not my fault is ah Kwach fault!" and so on never end!
good point, this is where the rule of law comes into play. law is law, whether people like it or not, they still have to obey the law, that's it! no more playing game with these frog in the well mentality or outdated mentality, etc... get with the program already! leadership should be held accountable for when they are on watch or on duty, no exception here, there, or anywhere! people are sick and tired of this stupid game, it goes nowhere, only in circle!
No killer should be forgiven, they must be jailed, that is the way to avoid the next generation to repeat the same crime, in the contrary CPP members, supporters and their families members would be killed in the near future.
3:16AM not only the criminals were at fault but the victime too1 to be so coward and selfish!
Please try to use democracy for our way of living! Stop put our lives in a hand of a person or a group! Obey laws for good of everyone! and the nation!
Professor Pheung Ton was a man of high principle. He was not an opportunist and was a good role model for Cambodian intellectual. He has refused all ministerial post during Lon Nol period from 1970-1975. How could people killed him? It is very sad to loose a person of such valuable talented. May the spirit of this great person rest in peace. My condolence to all his families. We must blame all these kiling to Sihanouk alone. He must be hanged for all his criminal activities against his own Nation and his own people for his very small mentality of revenge.
Areak Prey
1) Kampuchea Democratic vs. Khmer Republic
2) Khmer Republic overthrown
3) Killing Fields
Arak Prey is a dump, a man who accepts to be minister is not a opportunist, refuses to be minister is not necessary a good man, Khmers killing was not the fault of Sihanouk, you're an idiot, I don't defend that looser but I want you to be less stupid.
7:01 AM,
But who will be responsible for over two millions khmers muedered???
Sihanouk had no Remorse for his Destruction of his own subjects and his own country.
Sihanouk had done everything to pave the way for VIETNAMISATION OF CAMBODIA.
try to tell that to stupid KR, they don't care about what ethical background one has, they still kill you, regardless. it's called ignorance, revenge, hatred, lawlessness, revolutionary backward thinking, etc..., really!
