Public Forum on Human Rights and Development for communities affected by economic land concessions in Kampung Speu
Parliamentarians, authorities, civil societies, community members, and other stakeholders will participate in a Public Forum on “Human Rights and Development” in Kampung Speu Province. The Public Forum will consider the issues and disputes faced by the local community relating to economic land concession.
The issues and disputes arose out of an Economic Land Concession granted by the Government of 9052 hectares in February 2010 to the Phnom Penh Sugar company; owned by CPP Senator Ly Yong Phat. The company wishes to use the land as a sugar cane plantation. The concession has affected around 11 villages in the Thpong district; they have raised their concerns over the granted land concession and have yet to find a peaceful resolution. A hundred families have protested about the company starting to clear their land for commercial use.
The Public Forum on Human Rights and Development will provide community members with an opportunity to voice their concerns, ask questions and express their opinions to parliamentarians, local authorities, national and international organizations; as well other stakeholders who are concerned about the conflict and who desire a peaceful resolution.
The Public Forum will take place on May 20, 2010, from 8.a.m. to 11.30 a.m. in Thnol Bambek Village, Amleang Commune, Thpong District, Kamung Speu Province.

How would this BASTARD ly yong phat feel if a greater authority took over the homeland of his mother, father, and family? He'd be crying like a little bitch if hun sen can't help his crooked ass!! They might have taken other's homeland now, but the CPP won't own any land when they're in hell. Their whole party will all be cramped up inside a small booth the size of a coffin when they're in hell!!
