Dear Compatriots and members of the Press.
The court has chosen to overlook and discarded all substantive evidences presented by the defender, MP Mu Sochua. The case would have been thrown out of court altogether from the start if it were brought up in USA or Canada. It goes to show how injustice in Cambodia can be legitimized at best in order to serve one strong man’s ego.
The Supreme Court’s decision today, has re-confirmed many times over our call and needs for a major overhaul to our weak and rotten judicial system – a system which serves only the interests of the ruling elites and its corrupted officials at the expense of the mass. Every Cambodian is at risk now as the court has clearly shown itself to the public and the world based on this particular case alone. The court can not be trusted.
It’s the responsibility of the donors’ countries to ensure the safety of MP Mu Sochua, and to demand an overhaul to this highly corrupted judicial system. Without judicial independence, Cambodia is ruled by fear, intimidation and insecurity.

It is truly another setback day for Cambodia where the rule of law and the judicial system is not functioning.

Disgrace Mu Sochua’s problem all along, is that she is trying to be a politician. She's not, never has been and quite obviously, never will be. She should have just been herself, provide alternative policies and show Khmer people what a great alternative MP opposition she would be. Instead, her foray into being a politician has been a disaster. She comes across as pretending to be something she's not. Now, her political career is on the line and herself also in the hot water.
While the nation is facing complex economic, social and environmental issues disgrace Mu Sochua tried to promote her political stunt, aimed to get media attention. If this wasn’t such a clear demonstration of her selfish pursuit of personal ambition it would be laughable. There is no doubt that Mu Sochua has no real regard for the best interest of the nation. She is driven solely by a desire to become a “Champion of Women or a new Aung San Suu Kyi” by any means available to her, even if that has the potential to destabilize the country. Even worse, she is attempted to make trouble after she lose her case in the Supreme Court against Prime Minister Hun Sen. Will she happy going to jail or pay the fine, everyone can bet for it.
People of integrity admit their faults, make amends and are judged fairly...Disgrace Mu Sochua is lacking in integrity and common sense and tries to change Cambodia into her own world. As long as Cambodia’s Court doesn’t issue any verdict which is fitted for her political stunt, she will screaming for the justice all day long.

The main problems came from Sam Rainsy since 1998. He was the one that betrayed khmer people and the U.S Congresorward to the Senates. The HR 533 resolution was to bring Hun Sen to the World Court for Human Rights violations. Them Sam Rainsy, Ranariddh were the two stooges to go to joint Hun Sen to form the illegal government. Then the US Congress has to halt the HR 533 not to Senate due to the betrayal of SR.
Again, the NY Court had summonsed Hun Sen to the NY Court for the same reason. Then, Hun Sen lost the Court in NY. Again, SR requested his lawyer to drop the case in the pretext to sane Kem Sokha, another stooge.
Well, our compatriotes, look to the above 2 cases that SR has betrayed our peopl.He deserved to go to jail for the rest of his life.
To be fair MP Mu Sochua does not trying to promote political stunt as stated above. Her popularity well known among women nationally and internationally compare to HS or Bunrany. She has been working hard to help promote fair and justice for Cambodian people. The country needs this kind of woman to fight for social justice. The above poster 12:33PM perhaps has no brain or knowlege between what's right and wrong. Average person realize right away that there are huge social and moral problems in Cambodia other than economic issue as stated. When something happened and ones pretents not to see it that the problem.
