perhaps the monks here are introducing new foreign concepts into khmer society and country. why can't we accept new paradigm or thinking or changes or reforms, etc? if any, we should infuse or incorporate new thinking into our khmer ways because we must keep in mind that concepts, like nation, do evolve constantly. why can't we accept new way to some degree. that said, of course, we shouldn't abandon our khmer heritage, whatever that maybe; we can incorporate or i like to call it infuse new thinking into our old ways as well. well, look around the world, everything changes, not just in cambodia, ok! wake up and be educated already! there are more to cambodia than just plain politics, you know! even buddhist monks can be political as well, ok!
throughout history of cambodia and the world, concepts (both foreign and domestic come and go), the more important thing in cambodia is to emphasize learning and keeping a strong khmer identity like our beautiful khmer language, our beautiful khmer custom and etiquette, and maybe some of our traditional ways, etc; however, ideas or concepts which are known as paradigm, we must be flexible and modify them to fit our nation and khmer needs, etc... nothing is set in stone anymore, meaning there is no such thing as absolute anything anymore! we must be flexible with changes or reforms if we are to compete in this world. we have to form a new way of thinking to include the world, not just khmer world, but the large world out there as well. it is ok for our nation to evolve like the rest of the world, ok! think smartly about it! wake up!
our monks should learn from everybody in the world. even monks can become modernized as well, you know! ever heard of adaptation? well, now you do!

OK, you accept it and infuse it into half yuonism and half Khmerism if you think it's better for Khmer people in the future. I won't value these monks a bit.

If you want to be lay person is fine,blend yourself with bad and good but stay off the monkhood.
Simply you can't be both, please do not clad yourself with precious robe and pretend to be one fed by generosity.
Monkhood is about learning about humanity in pali language and attempt to shake yourself off the bondage of anger,greed and ignorance to natural laws.
It is proven that people takes buddhism for a ride as no knowledgeable monks lead practice of buddhism in Cambodia.
What out that killing the culture and resources are to kill a nation.
Now we are going through that as result of our ignorance.

The monk must take off his yellow robe and put him in jail,or get fine.Every religions have the same problems:Hinduism,Buddhism , Christianity,Islam and so on.Each believer value his /her religion.

It is you who have to wake yourself up. You are talking in your dream and in the very confusing state of mind.
It's good for people to embrace changes, but for the positive changes, not the changes of practices these Hochimonks have been doing. They have done more than enough to show Khmer people about their fake identity and manipulating Buddhism in our culture and society.
So if you are happy to take that change in what these monks did, no body is going to stop you but don't bark in your sleep and pretend to wake people up.

I totally agree with you about Mr. 11:30 PM.
I think he should stop daydreaming and perhaps come here to Cambodia to live under Mr. Hun Sen's government for a while to see if what he has been saying makes any sense.
I don't think he has a clue of what he was saying! After all, he has never lived under the current government of Cambodia and has no real idea of what he is talking about!
He himself will wake up if he comes to Cambodia to live here for a while.

Why should we call them Khmer? They weren't "picked" by Cambodians to become our Khmer monks, the Vietnamese were the ones who hand-picked these comrads. That monk leader Tep Vong can't even read Khmer, and all he does is disrobe our real Khmer monks and takes orders from Hun Sen or the Vietnamese.
Even if we accept the CPP as Khmer and allied with them they will continue to obey the Vietnamese and then you will have the 97 coup all over again with all the real Khmers being killed off by these fake Vietnamese who pretend to be Khmer.
why this person above likes to talk about killing? this individual should be talking about reform, development, reconciliation, nation reconstruction, education for better future of cambodia, etc... why he/she likes to about about pain, suffering, hurts, ignorance, hate, etc... wake up already! cambodia do not need pessimistic people to lead our country, ok! change the thinking because time waits for no one and cambodia is changing with time now!

Because its what happening in Cambodia right now . CPP kill people who dont agree with them is easy like peeling banana but CPP never found those criminals even Hun Sen said that whoever talk about Hun Sen Hun Sen know no matter where you are . He cares about CPP but he doesn't care about who have been killed by CPP.
