Khmers will be more suffering if they don't change their leader and more Khmer lands will be lost to Youns.
If you mark the border, you may lose some land, if you don't mark the border, eventually, you lose the whole country. There is no way Khmer can match the Vietnamese, economically, militarily or intelligent wise. Marking the border fast is the best solution from losing more land.

I tend to share your viewpoint as well.
Having permanent border markers, though certainly to Cambodia's disadventage, may be the best solution in the long run considering the fact that we are no match to our neighbours; however, it is a hard concept to accept considering that we have lost so much land all along throughout history to our eternally greedy and rapacious neighbours to the east and to the west.
In addition, unity is a hard commodity to be found in our tragic land and among our unfortunate people. Also a tendency of Cambodians to serve foreign masters for their own interests is another fact to hardly ignore.
Your idea has some merit and can be a starting point for Cambodians to think about.

Corruption is intended to loosen control in managing cambodia affairs, with implanted sources does inforce vietnam's control in cambodia.
To accept that loose border markers,we appears to loose both unless we start to defend our land and CPP start looking at khmers benefits.Under this government,many see that we stand a chance of loosing as some already confessed.
Khmers used to sacrfice for our homeland even way back under Klieng Meung,but now khmers rather stand and watch just for your own comfort.Our mentality have changed as an impact of loss of human resources and controlled CORRUPTION.
