SRP MP Mu Sochua plans to meet with William Burns, the US Under Secretary of State, during the latter’s visit to Cambodia on Saturday 17 July.
Mrs. Mu Sochua told reporters on 12 July that she will raise the problems of the judiciary system, the election and the democracy in Cambodia with William Burns. Nevertheless, she does not plan to raise her personal problem against Hun Xen with William Burns. She is currently threatened by the court to pay her 16.5 million riels in fine and if she refuses to pay this amount, she could face arrest and jail time.
Mrs. Mu Sochua expects that, should she be jailed in the unfair defamation lawsuit case against Hun Xen, there will be a lot of justice-loving Cambodian people who will go to visit her in her jail cell.

At this moment, disgraced Mu Sochua and SRP stupid supporters can use USA and international community to scare to Cambodian government not to arrest her or say whatever they like but when the Court's order is expired on 15 July 2010, it will be different story.
When you have stepped in any country no matter what you don't like that country's law or accused it's unjust for you, but if you have been fined by the Court, you have no choice but have to pay the fine or going to jail. This is a common practice for the rest of the world. Unfortunately, disgraced Mu Sochua thinks otherwise! She wants to change the world into her own way and keen to use everything to promote her political stunt. Will the government uphold the rule of laws or allow her gets away unpunished? We will see in due course whether the law is strong or Mu Sochua is stronger than law???

I don't think oily face woman Mu Sochua is brave enough not pay the fine but happy to serve jail time. In 2008, when a coward Sam Rainsy was fine 10 Million Riel by the NEC during national election campaign, he always refused to pay the fine, but when he had run out of option and no where to go, on 26 February 2009, SRP officer brought money to pay off the fine.
As for Mu Sochua's case, she has been used the same tactic like her boss. If she goes to jail, she won't dare to spend the whole jail term, but she might spend a short time in jail to promote her political stunt and then instructs someone as her lawyer to pay the fine.
Disgraced Mu Sochua and Sam Rainsy as well as other SRP supporters, they are brave only in front of microphone or computer but when they face with jail time, they will bow their head to the ground or run away to overseas. Indeed, they are shameless in speaking louder more than they can do because they are thick face group of loser.

i think the US can help cambodia to reforms in many ways possible, especially in judicial reforms and social development reforms, etc... of course, the US will have to use a diplomatic carrot and stick or put pressure on cambodia through diplomacy or bilateral benefits, etc... cambodia, having awaken from the nightmare of KR and like a problematic child, does need some sort of political discipline and so forth in order to wake up and see the world and see the benefit for the country and so on. the US can help to make a real difference through a diplomatic connection and so forth. please work with cambodia, not against it because there is a huge potential of benefits for both america and cambodia and the world. god bless cambodia.
