In response to the criticisms leveled by human rights group indicating the Cambodian government had tightened the freedom of expression in Cambodia, Tith Sothea, mouthpiece of the Press and Quick Reaction Unit (PQRU) of the Council of Ministers, declared that in a number of cases, the civil society’s freedom of expression was not right (sic!), i.e. they only express their opinion to ask for financial aid from foreign countries only (sic!). Tith Sothea said: “I think that the enforcement of the law does not mean silencing the civil society or the opposition party, but it is a mean to put down illegal activities for the sake of strengthening the law and democracy.” Nevertheless, the report on freedom of expression in Cambodia which was published on Tuesday by the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR) indicated that almost all the judges and the prosecutors have close ties with the ruling CPP party, and major players in the judicial system are no other than high-ranking CPP officials.

Hi we see your practises in the society not word. From having land to without land to live. and after 90 seats won, close contact with dictatoship system like youn n chen. we do not understand how can the gov. rules the country to the democracy way by the leaders who have low education and used to learn and work in the dictatoship system.Remember in the the world now there is only 4 dictatoship countries remain 1.youn, 2. chen, N.korea and 4 Cuba.

All spokesman who work for the government of Cambodia in everydepartment have to act stupid in order to hold on your their jobs. If they tell the truth of what's going on right now now they will get fired . It's shameful when you lie to yourself like Tith Sothea does.
Does this guy Tith Sothea think that NGOs , UN , CIVIL SOCIETY and Cambodian people are stupid ? He lies again and again even the prove is right there and he can see it too . You can lie to your kids but you cant do that to the public because alot of them are smarter than you Tith Sothea and they know exactly what's happening .

this guy in this jsut for power and money from the CPP.. The CPP got their secret money from VCP--Viet Nam Comuunist Party of 500 Million USD a year to make sure that the CPP have enought money to be in power and in support of expanding Vietnamese peoples to live in Cambodia..
