The villagers, from seven communes in Takhao town, Kandal Stung district, have been in conflict with the Heng Development Co. since 2005.
“In the past, I sought the help of the law, but local authorities don’t help resolve people’s problems. I respect the law every minute, but the court and district and provincial authorities don’t respect their own laws.”
More than 400 villagers engaged in a land dispute with a Kandal province developer held a Buddhist ceremony on Friday, praying for protection of 450 hectares of land they expect to be pushed from next month.
The villagers, from seven communes in Takhao town, Kandal Stung district, have been in conflict with the Heng Development Co. since 2005. Representatives said Friday they have lived on the land since 1983.
“In the past, I sought the help of the law, but local authorities don’t help resolve people’s problems,” said Soa Rong, 60, who prayed to Buddha and her ancestors in Friday’s ceremony. “I respect the law every minute, but the court and district and provincial authorities don’t respect their own laws.”
Takhao resident Uong Sim, 48, said the company had taken two hectares of her land.
“I would like to pray to the ancestral spirits, Buddha, God and my late great grandparents to help protect my land and to take my land back for me for farming,” she said. “Every day the people suffer poverty and live in hope of farming. But now there’s no land.”
A company official said it was following a 2006 decision of the Kandal court that provided 210 hectares to the company. The remaining 240 hectares remain in dispute.
Men Makara, a coordinator for the rights group Adhoc, said the prayer ceremony followed several unsuccessful demonstrations.
“Finally, the people decided to seek Buddha and other gods to help them,” he said.

It doesn't matter these people voted or not voted for the CPP, they certainly don't deserve this.
It is very interesting in Cambodia at this present situation when the people have no hope and faith in their government to serve and protect them, they turn their faith to superficial power to ask of what they wanted. And I can understand their anger and frustration in this situation because there is nothing else they can co at this stage.
But I cannot comprehend and even more interesting to the fact that the government officials such as OM YIN TIENG pledged his diligent services to his boss by publicly swear to accept the punishment by superficial power if he haven't been truthful to the boss. Example he accepted to be killed by lightning strike, snake bite, car accident, blah, blah, blah...
I am so amazed with the metaphor that this traitor to Cambodia and You slave can come up with such a statement.
What is this in Cambodia with all these curses..

Off course, this was directed at the nation of Israel but same apply to this situation in Cambodia. The standard of God's truth applies to all peoples if they are willing to obey him.

Sam Rainsy must take Hun Sen to court; Failure to prosecute Hun Sen will result in more innocent Khmer peoples being murder.
Sam Rainsy must not give Hun Sen another option to pick to escape justice.
Which one is better?
1. Hun Sen Death Squad (The Cambodian Organize Crime) go to federal prison for life in the United States for terrorism on March 30, 1997 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
2. Sam Rainsy get his jail terms drop.
Option 1 will benefit all innocent Khmer peoples and Khmer national.
Option 2 will benefit Sam Rainsy and the Cambodia People's Party Hun Sen Khmer Rouge Regime (Hun Sen Death Squad, assassins, murderers, killers, human rights abusers and land grabbers...).
The last time, Sam Rainsy picked was option 2.
I remember Sam Rainsy said "I'm not doing this for Sam Rainsy, I'm doing this for Khmer national."

This is a million times better than spend hundreds of million of dollars to hire a private military contractor (Black Water, now XE etc...) to bring justice to criminals (Hun Sen Death Squad and the Khmer Rouge Regimes) who is responsible for killing almost two million innocent Khmer peoples and counting.
Who ever charge, prosecute, convict and sentence Hun Sen is a Khmer hero. You will be saving a lot of innocent Khmer peoples life. Because Hun Sen is responsible for murders his political opponents, leaders of the free trade union, journalists and innocent Khmer peoples.

Let me make it clear to you, Cambodian will not kill Khmer, only Xambodian will do. Therefore your 100 armors won't do any harm to khmer if those drivers are Khmer.

I think they put the curse on the wrong people. They should put it on Ah Khvak Hun Sen instead.
