On 23 September, the Phnom Penh municipal court announced its sentence in absentia on opposition leader Sam Rainsy: 10-year of jail time for disinformation and falsification of public maps at the beginning of 2010.
The court fined Sam Rainsy 5 million riels ($1,250) and ordered him to pay another 60 million riels ($15,000) in compensation to the government. The fine and compensation amounts will be paid to the government fund.
The court issued an arrest warrant against Sam Rainsy based on Article 363 of the Cambodian criminal code.
The sentence was announced by judge Ke Sakhorn, the vice-president of the Phnom Penh municipal court.

No surprise here, as always the cpp kangaroo court has no basis for such sentencing. 10 years in absentia for what?
Sam Rainsy is a mad dog that facing in deadlock situation. This mad dog is going to bite everyone who stand in front of it.
Like father like son. Finally, Sam Rainsy has followed his father's foot step, fugitive criminal conviction ran away from Cambodia and shamely died in overseas.
Is that the same Court that said it will put Mu Sochua in jail by certain day if she dont pay the fine ? Mu Sochua didn't pay the fine but the Court was afraid of puting her in jail. I'm wondering why .
Now it is another case against another SRP Parliament.

Your comment fits Hun Sen better because Hun Sen will kill whoever is on his way. Sam Rainsy ? He hasn't done anything to hurt anyone yet .. all he did was for our people and our Country, not for himself.
Prove it to me if Hun Sen never kill anyone . If you want to know how many people Hun Sen killed, ask FBI or Brad Adam .
