Phnom Penh – The Appeal court judge announced this Tuesday morning that the delivery of the verdict in Sam Rainsy’s appeal case in the border stakes removal in Chantrea district, Svay Reing province, will be delayed to 13 October 2010 instead.
The decision to delay the delivery of the verdict was made after the Appeal court convened for the case on Tuesday morning. Two of the co-defendants, Mrs. Meas Srey and Mr. Prum Chea, were present during the hearing. The pair was sentenced to 1-year of jail time each. On the other hand, the Svay Rieng provincial court sentenced Sam Rainsy to 2-year of jail time and fined him by more than 60 million riels. Sam Rainsy was charged with uprooting of border stakes in Svay Rieng province on 25 October 2009, and also with falsification on public document in the border dispute between Cambodia and Vietnam.

It is so unfortunately that ordinary Khmer farmers get Court because of they believed irresponsible politician. While People stay in jail but politician lives in luxury life in France.
Both farmers have been paid the heavy price for the sake of Sam Rainsy's political stunt.
The Viet and the Thai look down on Cambodia because of HS and CPP.
This is what happens when you have an unpatriotic govt.
Very Khmer knows that we lost Kampuchea Krom because of the stupid King Chey Cheta II. But, I believe that back then the Khmers, at least, dared to protest against the Viets. The worst is nowadays, in 21st century, the Khmers cannot even protest against the Viets, because doing so they will be jailed by their own government which has sworn to serve and protect them. How stupid and coward are the Cambodian leaders?

The next Cambodian government must rectify all the misdeeds of this present government. It will have to correct all the wrongs that have been committed on its own people and the nation for the pleasure of Vietnam. A formal apology and proper compensation must be considered going forward. People will need to realize that any nation will not go to the extend to imprison its own citizens for an aggressive behaviour from its own neighbouring nation. Cambodian government is simply a shadow behind the Vietnamese skeleton, and Cambodian needs to recognize and accept that fact, then move to free itself from this dangerous oppression.
SR led these people to break the law, they trusted him to stick with them, but alash, SR ran for his life and leave these poor people in jail.
These people are in jail today not because of HS but because of SR misled them.

This photo shoud be shown to all Khmers, to explain to them that this is how Cambodian government treats its people when they use only right to protect their belongings. In this way, in the near future no one dare use right to protect even his/her children.
I think that the KI initiative to publish articles and excerpts against dictatorship in Cambodia is good. I personally keep a medal of People's Power given as gift by one of my Filipino friends, I look at it everyday and I think to how to mobilize all Khmers to get rid of dictatorship out of our beloved country.
