Sam Rainsy, who is in exile abroad, faces two years in prison for the offense, after he was found guilty by the Svay Rieng provincial court earlier this year.The Court of Appeals on Tuesday reviewed a criminal case against opposition leader Sam Rainsy, who is accused of destruction of property and inciting racial hatred after he pulled several markers on the border of Vietnam.
Sam Rainsy, who is in exile abroad, faces two years in prison for the offense, after he was found guilty by the Svay Rieng provincial court earlier this year.
He is also facing a 10-year jail term for posting a border map on his party's website he says proves Vietnamese land encroachment.
The Appeals Court also considered the convictions of two other men who have been sentenced for jail for their part in the border markers uprooting.
The Appeals Court said it would announce its decision next week.

When I see innocent people wearing prisoner's clothe, I am am asking question why Cambodian judicial system is so bad. Why on earth those judges should be member of CPP party? Ang Vong Vattana who lived in France for long time enough should know that only independent judicial system can render fair trial on behalf of Cambodian people.
It is so unfortunately that ordinary Khmer farmers get Court because of they believed irresponsible politician. While People stay in jail but politician lives in luxury life in France.
Both farmers have been paid the heavy price for the sake of Sam Rainsy's political stunt.
Yuons must laugh their head off to see ah khmer do this to its own people.It's fucking sad.The picture does remind all Cambodian people not to challenge the yuon.If they do ,they will end up in jail.Champa 2 in in the horizon.

A trouble maker Sam Rainsy has inspired Khmer farmers to break the law but when they get Court, a coward Sam Rainsy has run away to overseas and point his finger blamed to the governbment. Poor ordinary Khmer have always been used as a tool by opposition to promote its political stunt on and on. So, Khmer people should learn from those mistakes.

are just deflecting responsibility and avoiding blame by the people against the government. They think Khmer people are stupid enough to believe that our heroes went to jail because they were "misled".
They attempt to say two things:
1.) The Khmer population are stupid
2.) The opposition is to blame
Sorry, i don't buy that.
Our people who go to jail are not jail because they "broke" the law due to "misled", they went to jail because they acted on their conscious and demanded what was rightfully theirs.
The saying that some laws were made to be broken is apparently true in this case. If I was in Cambodia right now, I would happily break the same law ten times.
I am sad that I am not in Cambodia when our heroes are unjustly imprisoned by CPP. I want to go to the hearing holding out sign and creating ruckus in that beastly "law" court.
