Cambodians left behind in the government's development grand scheme

This elderly woman is begging on Trasak Pha'em Street near Samdech Pan street in Phnom Penh. Elderly people in Cambodia do not receive support from the government, unlike other countries, that is why they have to live as best as they can with a lot of hardship. Some have to live in pagodas, some depend on their neighbors'  charity, and some live as hopeless vagrant while waiting for their death (Photo: The Phnom Penh Post)
A man is surrounded by young and old beggars after he came our of Pchum Ben celebrationat Wat Langka in Phnom Penh at the end of last week. Cambodia is noted for its development for the last few years, but most development plans are criticized for turning the people even poorer due to forced evictions without proper compensation or justice. a lot of money has been collected for donation all over the worlds as the charities , but the charities are just for believing legend which is making those top monks take advantage and become rich of it . If those money used to help the poor children for education it might make khmer more harmony and better country .
