The Court of Appeals on Wednesday upheld a two-year jail sentence against opposition leader Sam Rainsy, while releasing two villagers with time served on charges related to a Vietnamese encroachment demonstration.

The court upheld the verdict of Svay Rieng court against Sam Rainsy, who was found guilty of destruction of property and racial incitement for uprooting markers along the Vietnam border, where Cambodian villagers said they had lost land to encroachment.

Sam Rainsy's lawyer, Chu Choung Y, said he would appeal the verdict with the Supreme Court.

Arrested for the October 2009 incident were Prum Chea, 41, and Meas Srey, 40, who lived in Chantreay district where the posts were uprooted.

Both have been held ever since, but the Appeals Court said Wednesday they could be released with time served. Both said they were grateful for the decision.

If khmer don't love khmer, no one in the world will. It is right for us as a citizen to protect our homeland whenever we can. So why arest them when they are doing the right thing?. The one that should be arested should be are those who are the traitor of the nation e.g. selling land to foreigner such as china, viet, or thai etc for their own pockets. Eventhough they knew that it is illegal to so but still they don't care because they believed that they have the power and no one can do anything to them. So, why do the UN still ignore this keep of practice, because they wanted to see more conflicts on Asian soil and it is like kill them before they kill us but what about our morality where the bible stated that 'love is the power for all reasons', like when you promote love there is no reason to fight or taking advantage of one another. So, there are so many masks behind all the political influences and all we can do is just becareful that is don't let others influence us in how to handle with all kinds of situations that we are having and that is to look after each other well rather than aresting each other and allowing other to have the benefit of our down fall. So be smarter, that is if you don't love your own children, no one will. Aust

Tell me where is the fucken justice in all of this fucken border issue with the Vietcong government!

Well! Let me tell you! First the stupid Cambodian government under AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave leadership is a fucken victim for allowing the Vietcong government to violate Cambodian sovereignty! Second those dirt poor Cambodian farmers who have lost their land to Vietcong naked aggression is also a victim!

Do these Cambodian people have any value at all as human being for AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave to treat them like this by put them in jail! In my eye see themselves as human that is why they continue to fight and to protest to protect their dignity as human being! AS for AH HUN SEN he chooses to be a slave and he does need to fight!
