By Khmer Democrat, Phnom Penh

Expanding our Mind Series

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
(2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was the pre-eminent political and spiritual leader of India during the Indian independence movement. He pioneered satyagraha. This is defined as resistance to tyranny through mass civil disobedience, a philosophy firmly founded upon ahimsa, or total nonviolence. This concept helped India to gain independence, and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Gandhi is often referred to as Mahatma Gandhi or "Great Soul".

He is officially honored in India as the Father of the Nation; his birthday, 2 October, is commemorated there as Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday, and worldwide as the

International Day of Non-Violence.

For more information, see Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi at Wikipedia, inter alia.

Unfortunately, a large port of SRP supporter are former Khmer Rouge or Khmer republic. They do not agree with the none violent method. They prefer violent uprising and then kill all the CPP and their supporters. That will make Pol Pol purge pale in comparison. Because Pol Pot only kill about 2 millions Cambodian, but now these people want to kill 10 millions CPP and their supporters.

The problems with Cambodia now and in the past have been with AWFUL LEADERSHIP, who are stupid, traitors, and slaves to the aggressive neighbors. The problem is ours, so the solution is also ours - CHOOSE THE RIGHT LEADERSHIP, that's Sam Rainsy and the SRP!!!!!!!
