The Hun Sen (HS) government has always bragged about their effort to establish stability in Cambodia, why do they use police and army personnel to decorate their city and make them to be the annoying pests?
Because:
1- HS and his authoritative clowns are ingrained with dictatorial concept and attitude. This is the way they operate their government. They also have excuses for the thugs to practice their corrupt system by wrongfully demanding money from the public with violent practice, especially the innocent and powerless citizens. They also use the system to rob people in broad daylight with their legitimate extortion which have always been protected by the abusive behavior of the state law makers who are the CPP majority in the assembly. These to alleviate their state budget so they don't have to allocate sufficient funding for the personnel's salary and wage as they simply reserve the international AID for their own pockets.
2- The dictator HS loves to take the title. He even fantasizes himself to be Sdach KORN by comparing his date of birth and imitating his action to KORN. He would adopt the name only to realize that Korn were beheaded when he lost his war to King Ang CHAN and this is very bad omen to impersonate KORN. Therefore he settles with this current title.
We'll wait and see if the bad omen has stayed with him as he was so keen to impersonate SDACH KORN in view that they have the same background as a commoner and rose from grass root level to the head of State.
Please note: KORN fought with the royal system because it had pushed him to act to survive. However KORN did not invite Yuon or Siam to back him up to win the civil war. It's totally different when HS went to Vietnam seek for their assistance and became their puppet ever since by inviting and allowing this aggressor to invade Cambodia in '79 and becoming ally. The ally have been ignored Paris Peace Accords 1991 and continues to abuse the Cambodian affairs by illegally signed many treaties against the accord and the wills and wishes of millions of Khmer people during the UNTAC election in 1993.

Are you an idiot! How can Hun Sen and few of his Cambodian soldier can fight with Pol Pot Army! It was impossible, so the only way to topple Pol Pot regime was to seek help from Vietnam.
In reality, without Hun sen, Chea Sim, and Heng Samrin, vietnamese army would still invaded Cambodia because they wanted to take Cambodia for themselves.
Prior their invasion, all Khmer Rouge army under Son Sen have already informed all regions to dig big pounds in each village to be big enough to bury 1000 people or more. They have already talked about preparing poisonning noodles to kill Cambodian. I heard KR in my village telling their parents just before vietnamese invasion that high level of angkar wanted all Cambodian to be killed so that Vietnam will take empty land. I felt Vietnamese government was so disappointed to see many more Cambodian were still alive in 1979.
As far as I was very concerned, Pol Pot Army Commander Son Sen was Vietnamese spy hidded inside Pol Pot rank to kill all Cambodian. Around September-October 1978, around 300,000 Cambodian from Prey Veng, Svay Rieng were transported to Pursat and Battambang to be slaugtered. During that time, KR have speeded up their killings by promoting killing as their Nationalist.
Hun Sen, Chea Sim and Heng Samrin were just being installed for their legal challenge. Indead, their commander Be Bin was the one who have drove Pol Pot out from Cambodia for their second group puppets.
THe present Police and army are not acting to protect National interest that is why I call them as ennoying pests. They should stand neutral like Indonesia army and Police.

The year of 1970,Sihanouk asked and got helped from Vietcong soldiers.So Pol Pot got power from Viet soldiers and Sihanouk.Pol Pot then became Khmer Rouge leader.The Vietnam govt got involved in Khmer affair since then.In 1979,some Khmer Rouge took side with Vietcong escaping to Vietnam and came along with Vietnamese troops to kill some Khmer Rouge,Khmer people,to rob Khmer property,to loot Khmer things. Hun Sen was topped by Yuon govt but Korn did not top by Thai or Yuon. Korn was gotten killed by the king,but Hun Sen will get killed by the Khmer people.
If Khmers are still stupid and dumb, Khmers will have no lands and live under Youns forever.
I believe one day HUN Sen will declare himself as Sdach Korn incarnated.

You have to remember people can do to whatever extend to corrupt but history would never miss any action of what every single Khmer leader had done to Cambodia and her people, and HS is no exception.
HS had many chances to be a Khmer hero after the Paris Peace Accord 1991. But he chose to carry over the option he has been taken to be Vietnamese puppet and fully aware of the consequences. Thus he publicly convinces people he is incarnated from SDACH KORN to rule Cambodia with his crazy illusion, Khmer people and the world are aware that he is HUN SEN the DESTROYER of Cambodia and Khmer people in the modern history.

The fact was Vietnam planned the invasion to resolving their conflicts with the Khmer Rouge regime that had nothing to do with HS and his team. The Vietnamese leadership was looking for their man who was not those among the HS and his team. Only after they realized that their man was killed by the Khmer Rouge, then they used whoever they can use to achieving their objectives. They found HS and his team. HS and his team did not ask Vietnam for assistance. Vietnam used those defected Khmer as a facade. That is a big difference.
After the 1991 Peace Accord, is a different story. I agree with the author on this point. Cambodia had an opportunity to be free. But remember FUNCINPEC was a threat to CPP then. Had we have a smarter FUNCIPEC leader, Cambodia would have been in a difference place now. Most FUNCINPEC members for the top to bottom were drunk with their new found power. They worried about women and titles. Those who became Excellencies were only excellent at stupidity. They betrayed their supporters; they betrayed their families; and worst, they betrayed the national conscience.
Folks, our national issues are complicated. We have to be creative in trying to solving its problem. Thus far, most of us have been engaging in vertical thinking. We see the issue; we immediately think of one solution. What seems to be the trend, we already framed one solution and used the issue to fit into that.
We have to start thinking out of the box. Get away from this one man solution that gets us nowhere. Only Sihanouk can do this or do that. Only Lon Nol is that true nationalist; Only Pol Pot is the brightest leader; only Moha Decho can stabilize the country; Only Sam Rainsy can bring democracy. Cut the crap.
This kind of thinking is the problem in and of itself. There are plenty of educated Cambodians out there. The new generation who are educated will be part of a solution to bring change. Think of a creative way to bring them along. Not the same old way by organizing a meeting and pretend to involve them but stick to your own old agenda. You know you screwed up as bad as any of those you blame. You just not in power that’s all.
The key is we have to define the problem correctly, then, the solution will be obvious. This will require unbiased mind. Obviously, most of us here are not neutrals. We are beating the same dead horse for a very long time. And I think we will beat this dead horse a lot longer. And it is not anybody else’s fault, it is our fault. We are stubborn. We are not creative in our thinking.
