There are reports that Lady Bun Rany Hun sen, wife of Prime Minister Hun Sen, has been indirectly involved in the forced evictions of poor peasants from their lands in Veal Veng district of Pursat province.
The reports said that after the government announced the opening of the Khmer-Thai border at Veal Veng and designated the areas as an economic zone, MDS company, owned by Oknha Try Pheap, moved in to evict the people living in Sangkum Thmey village in Thmor Da commune of Veal Veng district from their lands.
Villagers said that provincial authority told them that no one dares to intervene because Lady Bun Rany had shares in the MDS company. Villagers also said that MDS representatives also told them that MDS is owned by Lady Bun Rany.
Villagers, who are families of former Khmer Rouge soldiers, said that the government had given these parcels of lands to them to live when they defected and re-integrated into the national army in 1998. They said they had documents of ownership issued by commune and district authority to prove that they are the rightful owners of these parcels of lands.
However, on 1st of November, MDS brought in heavy machinery and deployed a large number of troops to protect the lands while the machinery started to bulldoze their houses, crops and fruit trees they have cultivated, saying it has received concessions from the government to develop the areas. The villagers confronted the troops and MDS representatives and were forced to flee to the jungle after troops attempted to arrest them. However, they agreed to return homes after human rights group Adhoc, Licadho and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights had intervened.
Mr. Bee Born, another former Khmer Rouge soldiers who faced evictions and whose house and crops faced being bulldozed, said MDS plans to bulldoze 950 hectares of lands belonging to 84 families.
Villagers said they had sent petitions to human rights groups and other international organisations requesting them to intervene to stop MDS' actions or to ask the company to pay them compensation at the market price.

Now people are starting to run into the jungle. They are coming back to negotiate with the help of Human Rights organisations. How much longer before we see someone not returning and being joined in the jungle by liked minded individuals and families and a whole new civil war starts? Hun Sen and his cronies must be stopped. I used to wonder why the Khmer Rouge soldiers were so crual to the rich and powerful when they took over. Now I am starting to understand how that pent up anger through being so badly treated just came out, and everyone became their enemy. For those who thought that Pol Pot was the only one responsible for the killings in Cambodia, let me tell you this- the majority of the killings in the KR era were the result of lower ranking KR soldiers avenging their earlier treatments by the then rich and powerful. If Hun Sen and his advisors cannot see the parallels now, they deserve everything coming their way. And should there be another trial for the traitorous acts committed by the CPP, I hope that everyone involved with this regime will be tried no matter their position in the regime. Khmers should learn that they cannot excuse themsleves from being judged just because they followed orders. To enrich yourself while someone else is starving or being hurt, means that you must be brave enough to face the consequences when they arise.

The leader of these Khmer Viet Minh was Mr. Son Ngoc Minh Since 1950 before Geneva Conference in 1954.

Note: Son Ngoc Minh left Cambodia after Geneva conference in 1954 to Hanoi, North Vietnam and continue to stay there till 1972 and from there he was sent from Hanoi to Chinese hospital for high blood pressure treatment and died there in the same year in 1972.

The real reason behind this was after Son Ngoc Tanh was arrested Ho Chi Minh took this good opportunity to change name from Achar Mean to Son Ngoc Minh to cheat Khmer Krom and Khmer Kandal that Son Ngoc Minh was the younger brother of Son Ngoc Tanh to gain support from Khmer local.
Under Hun Sen regime they honored Son Ngoc Minh as a father of communism, and Son Ngoc Minh ( Achar Mean ) picture printed on Hun Sen money riels.
So Ho Chi Minh formed Yuon Viet Minh, formed Khmer Viet Minh, Khmer Issarak and CPP.
It all under Ho Chi Minh Indochina Federation .
So CPP ruling Cambodia are Yuon Viet Minh, Khmer Viet Minh , Khmer Rouge.
That why everything CPP do they do for Yuon interest .
