land reclamation is nothing new in phnom penh area since going back to colonial time. did you know that the area where psah thmey currently sits were once a swamp land? yes, the legacy of KR killing fields era!
the independence monument was built on swamp land as well.
look at their home, why do they want more when $8,000 is enough for that small hut.

Stop voting Hun Sen, there are many people suffer under his regime. This force eviction will never stop
in cambodia, there are a lot of clever people, when they know about development somewhere, they would go to build a small hut or thatch house or stilt house, they they can demand market value for their relocation, you see, they are very clever, yeah! that's the khmer way, get used to it! stop blaming gov't, it's the birds of feather flock together, you get it! you'll be surprise to learn about khmer naughty way, i tell ya!
