US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton promised opposition Members of Parliament that she will help Sam Rainsy to return back to Cambodia because a democratic country cannot afford to miss the presence of its opposition leader.
This declaration was made during a press conference held the SRP headquarters in Phnom Penh after 4 SRP officials met with Mrs. Clinton between 4 to 5 PM on 01 November, at the US ambassador residence in Cambodia.
SRP MP Yim Sovann was confident that the US, as a Superpower, could help intervene so that Sam Rainsy could return back to Cambodia, and that the Cambodian people demand for democracy.

I am not affiliate with any SRP or Khem Sokha Party in fact due to our love dearly to our 1st Motherland Cambodia even we are living abroad having good life for our family and children.
Allow Free and Fair election in Cambodia and the participation of opposition parties without fear, power of GUN on their head, the Corrupted court system in favor for the people in power and crooked moneys that caused so much to justice.

cambodia should also use the trial of jury in the court of law as well; after all, it's democracy in the working.
in that case, the jury must have no criminal record or any kind of abuse of the law, etc... they all must be screened careful like in america in order to be called for jury duty, etc. otherwise, it is conflict of interent problem and so forth.
i think the problem with opposition leadership is not so much of its name sake "opposition", but of they way their leaders are running away to overseas and not committed to living, working, helping, participating, etc in cambodia. they often held duel citizenships and quite often took advantage and abuse khmer law, then run away to their adopted countries, wherever they may be. khmer people see them as untrustworthy and unkhmer because partly they did not know what suffering is in cambodia as they never lived or experienced first hand in cambodia. just take their leader, sam rainsy for example, he's so arrogant and unkhmer and full of hypocritical characters, etc. how can khmer people trust him?
the problem with sam rainsy is that he doesn't know when to stop barking, even after the election to work together in order to build and develop cambodia. sam rainsy is narcisis and work only for his own political ambition, not the sake of national interest, reconciliation, etc.

I am not Sam Rainsy Party member:
But as a Khmer I have observed your activities closely.
I agree , you have done a lot for the poor, powerless Khmer people , such as stood up for democracy in late 1997. Led huge peacefull demonstration against election cheating in 1998,Stood up for Khmer people at Dey Kraham, especially border issue in 2009.
And I am sure if Mrs. Hillary Clinton intervene for your returning , of course you can come back for sure,No doubt about it.
Election in domcratic country is very vital. But election in Cambodia is not it all about Ho Chi Minh Indochina Federation.
But the problem is if you need to change your tactics. if you keeping joining the upcoming 2013 national election you will lose again and again not because of most Khmer voted for Hun Sen , most Khmer never vote for Hun Sen look back at 1993 election under UN supervision , Ranarridh won , but Rannrridh betrayed Khmer who voted for him , Ranarrid betrayed his own fighters from the Thai borders.
To me we cannot compare you ( nationalist ) to Ranariddh a national traitor.
The real danger of our poor nation is Viet Congs in Khmer civilian uniforms, Viet Congs in Hun Sen polices, solders, MP uniforms everywhere in our country.
Look at 5 millions of illegal Yuon living in Cambodia ready to vote for Hun Sen again and again to legitimize Hun Sen regime as they have done in the past and they will do again in this coming up 2013 election.

As guerilla fighters, we had the pleasure to kill some of Youns at the Cambodian-Thai border clashes between 1980-89. Admittedly, they did kill some of our friends too.

After serving a decade in US military, a few of us who made it to America found the perfect formula that would require the least number of people that could inflict maximum damage to our cut-throat traditional enemy:

A few of us had gone on to achieving doctorate degrees in particle physics and hi-energy physics. And because of our US military backgrounds, we were accepted to work at some of US’s premier research labs in the country.

We are sure if we can wipe the Viet Cong out from the face of this planet, China, Thailand, all of the Viet Cong’s immediate neighbors, and much to the delight of US government who lost 58,000 soldiers and a few billion dollars during Vietnam war will be more than pleased to see it happen. Knowing the averaged velocity of monsoon wind, the land mass, and a population of 88.6 million, it would take one or several devices much less than a megaton magnitude to do the job. And Cambodia is only one a few minutes at Mach one to reach the epicenter—Hanoi or somewhere close by—at altitude 10,000 feet for better coverage.
Viet Cong will build several nuclear power plants in the coming years, but they will never get to handle fuels themselves, and they have much less burning passion to take care of Khmers the way we scientific Khmer minds want to take of them.
We had lost everything—or better yet, WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE.
We need to fight this Youn evil with our greatest intelligence that built Khmer Empire by harnessing the power of the sun with only a few bright minds.
