i think there's a good reason why they (gov't) discouraged royal members from entering active politics, etc... because the questions come down to: can they handle constructive critics, criticism, reprimand, scrutiny, interrogation, etc, if they are found to be doing something wrong or illegal, etc... well, they better not use that royal title if they want to enter active politics or they risk becoming nobody anymore. hey, royal have their privilege, choose to keep it or lose it. everyone must not be above the law, really!
some royal member can use reforms and be modernized in a way to fit and serve the nation. otherwise, people see no use in them, really!
the era of absolute monarchy is long done! adjust to modern way or risk disfunction, i think!
