Your say Re: Sign in front of Wat Keo Sekha Kiri Svarak

I was wholeheartedly praising our government for replacing the old sign with a new one. Clearly, it was a clever move by our government. The new sign along with its content, in my humble opinion, was perfectly acceptable within the norm of international diplomacy. But before I finished cheering the move, some unthinkable thing happened. The new sign was taken down and destroyed by our own soldiers, presumably under a direct order from the government.

It was emotionally devastating to see a sign bearing Khmer’s pride and dignity being destroyed indiscriminately. It is hard to describe the painful feeling for such destruction, but it is even harder to comprehend the reason behind it. Speaking of the reason, it is highly improbable that Thailand is ready to go to war over its self-proclaimed disputed land. Thai radical groups make all the barking noises only to gain political ground at home. Regrettably, it appears that our government yields to their demand, knowingly or unknowingly at the expense of our pride and dignity.

This is a slap in the face for the Khmer people and nation, all because of the ill leadership of a handful of people.

A sign like this should have been erected with prior due diligence and forethought, knowing the Thais' history of making similar complaints in the past.

The important thing is that once erected, it must remain there, even at the cost of bloodshed and sacrifice. Otherwise, it becomes proof of a fiasco OR a basic sign of weakness on Cambodia's part. And that could only encourage the Thais to bully Cambodia again and again.

That is so disgrace! Why the hell they put that tablet up anyway when they can't take the heat from Thai?

Where are those advisers of HUN SEN that have all the degree to advice HUN SEN??

A threat from Thai military put HUN SEN in the shitty stance?

So disgrace that HUN SEN can only be strong to only unarmed innocent Khmer.

Khmer Sambok Kmom

Why? Because YUON can have a piece of that pie so Thai wants that fair share too.

If Hun Sen be tough on all fronts, the Thai ambition wouldn't happened.

Look at on the east border with YOUN at Kampong Cham province for example. They (Youn) had planned the border mark right near the house of Monkey Heng Samrin and Hun Sen government done nothing to stop them. So Thailand now really wants that 4.6km2.

Mark my words, Hun Sen must request to UN or use the 1991 Paris Peace Agreement to bring them to UN Court again. If not this thing will not solve anything.

Khmer Poipet

Its very embarrassing that Cambodian government is so damn weak and worthless! I agree, why we(Cambodian) bother putting up the stone tablet at the first place? Very soon, Thailand will order Hun Sen to wear short skirt like phnong people in the mountain...What an embarrassment!!

Khmer have been known to be very passive and weak especially when it comes to the neighboring enemies. throughout history, we continued to destroy ourselve again and again. Not only we prefer to take order from other, but we also value their ideas while disregarding our own well being. Such coward act to remove the sign by Mr. Hun Sen is contrary to his alleged "iron fist" leadership with the poor Khmer people within the pass two decates. When it comes to fearing of loosing power from the enemy threaten, this coward leader is willing to sacrifice his moral by bowing to his enemy without any conviction in his heart.

Thats the weakness of the leader of the Country against outsiders . It's a very clear singal that Hun Sen is only strong against his own people , people who put him in power . Against foreigners , he will put his tail between his legs just like an old dog .

To all my Cambodian compatriots: I have come to understand that the idea of dismantlement of a stone tablet at Wat Keo Kiri Swara was a bad idea. As you are aware, I'm not Hun Sen's side. It seemed to be such defamation not only to the CPP gov't, but to all Cambodians as well. At the moment, I have agreed with Mr. Hun Sen that a stone tablet should be taking apart. It doesn't mean that the CPP did not want to engage a war with a neighboring country, but think twice at this moment: To be, or not to be---if you disagreed about a stone tablet taking apart, I strongly you don't understand about the deep-rooted internal Thai politics. Is Thailand ready to wage a war because of a stone tablet bore the words: Thai-invader at the vicinity on July, 2008-Dec. 2010. You should pay attention deeply inside Thailand. Abbhisit's gov't feels ashamed for unable to handle the crisis at the south as well as the Yellow Shirts and the Reds. And they want to excuse by anxiously wage a war against Cambodia to alleviate the tension in Thailand. It's excusable for the CPP at this moment to dismantle the bearing words at Preah Vihear. We(Cambodians) should let Thais against Thais at this precious moment, instead of waging a war with her country to alleviate the debacle inside Thailand. Regarding the stone tablet, I strongly believe the gov't can erect anytime. Please don't tell me I was wrong because of disagreement with your ideas, but I prefer to see Thais killing their compatriots first. Furthermore, I advise the CPP gov't officials to watch out the Viets who reside in Cambodia. They might have a chance to revolt against the gov't at any moment without noticeable.

If you are so good why do you and your families murder cambodians? Why? and Why?

If you are so good why do about 90%cambodians are so poor but you and your relatives are billionair and millinor? Why? Why?

Why do you try to kill people from telling the true? Why? Why?

What is the difference from Khmer Rough and you, Sir?

If you are so good Why do you block KI from cambodians?

Don't you and your families scare of hell for ethernity?

When you die can you bring all of your power and money with you?

Dr. Hun Sen and Dr. Big ass lady and his belove Dr. Hun Manet Please don't put us in jail or kill us for this! We want to live like you and your families do!

Khmers victim of 1997 and K5

PS

If Dr. Hun Sen and Dr. Hun Manet remove the tablet it is show they are extremely coward and his star are just joy stars given by his daddy not by patriotism. Dr. Hun Manet is very coward as his daddy they only aim to kill innocent cambodians that all. Dr. Hun SEn and Dr. ten stars Hun Manet are very great at bullying cambodians and killing Cambodians but cowardly toward Thai and Viet.

Seriously where is the win win policy of Dr. Hun Sen represent. The country is getting smaller and shamer by Dr. Hun Sen and Dr. Hun Manet.

To 5:27 AM

We are not talking about the dismantling of the stone tablet bearing the words:
“Thai-invader at the vicinity on July, 2008-Dec. 2010.”
But we are not happy about the dismantling of the one that says: “HERE! IS CAMBODIA.”
Because there is nothing wrong with that new cement tablet, do you understand our protest now?
Thai Yellow and Red Shirts conflicts are their problems, and we, the Cambodian, have nothing to do with them, do you get it?
Maybe you are full of shit like the poster @ 5:49 AM said.

I was so supportive of the goverment to change the the sign to read: "Here is Cambodia." I though it was succint. I'm now so ashame of the dismantled of the stone by the order of a foreinger. They didn't have to break it to pieces; they could have it at least preserve it somewhere else.

IF WART KEAV KIRY SVA RA: BE LONG TO KHMER, WHY THE HELL HUNSEN N THE LOOSER GOVERMENT removed the cement SIAM aggression ??? (PRA SAT PREA: VI HEAH)

Next time, you will see he kneels down on his knees and kiss Yourn feet.

What Mr. Hun Sen has done was great! I think at this point Mr. Hun Sen is right. He care about the people of both sides. He don't want to see bloodshed. He don't care who weak or strong as long as the people of both sides are at peace. Good to go Mr. Hun Sen. Let all these idiots critizie as long as they want mr.

@Dear brothers:
I thought that even though it's such painful to remove the previous plaque, however, the new one also good as it's morally and diplomatically correct. It was a smart move to relief the ongoing tension as well. Of course, by so doing, it doesn't mean we affraid the neighbor country, but we want peace instead.

That is painful to see the sign broken by our own khmer soldier.
